what if cobra lost the alley vipers?
rundown..
Most people never realize their full physical potential. Members of Special Forces, around the world, are constantly pushed to the brink in hopes of developing soldiers that can push the envelope in every extreme. However, one of the most surprisingly harsh environments to endure combat is in fact the inner city and members of the Alley Viper Corps are trained to not only reach that necessary extreme conditioning, but to surpass it. Loaded down with 50 lbs of body armor yet still able to perform feats expected of the likes of gymnasts and mountain climbers, the Alley Viper finds himself at the peak of human physical conditioning. Scaling shear walls, jumping from 30 feet unassisted, performing tasks in CS gas filled rooms without any mask and enduring full auto machinegun bursts across their frontal body armor are just some of the grueling tasked performed in Alley Viper Training.

Culled from the most brutal and ruthless of Cobra’s Vipers, Alley Vipers are called upon to carry out the urban assault missions that no one else could be expected to complete. Masters of Hand-to-Hand combat and small arms. Able to function in small teams or completely on their own, working as a first strike team or via stealth techniques, to infiltrate high security buildings or simply blast their way to the target.

Alley Vipers take great pride in their abilities. Each and every one of them looks forward to the day that Cobra’s forces will march on the largest cities of the world, Alley Vipers leading the charge with their safeties off and Cobra emblazoned shields held high.

Each Alley Viper is assigned multiple camouflaged jump suits to allow them to function in any urban setting. Composite body armor covers their torso and backs as well a full wrap-around helmet with adjustable facemask. Other gear includes rappelling gun and bear claw equipment for climbing as well as a large selection of grenades for clearing a room or leveling an entire office-building floor. Properly supported, their arm-mounted shields can sustain a burst from a .50 caliber machine gun while the edges are also sharpened to give the Alley Viper a close quarters melee advantage.

ok what if the alley vipers left cobra,to become this evil organization, bound to destroy the Joe's and cobra.. do you think somethings here? :D
special thanks for the info, on alley vipers..

OK,the Alley Viper's are definitely tough hombres-and if they split to form their own faction one thing would NOT change: they are almost unstoppable in a MOUT( Military Operations in Urban Terrain ) situation.

If they did form their own faction, their enemies best bet would be to target them en route to their destination, for example shooting down their transport plane.

i dont think things would change much. i have always loved the alley vipers, well the first ones anyway. but honestly, you dont see cobra using them very much. i mean to use them in their environment they would have to be attacking a city, that doesnt happen much. when it does you see blue shirts.

Ditto! I'd buy AT LEAST 5! :D Hasbro-Collector's Club-are you listening?

I'd like it if they used Ver. 1 bodies, heads and gear, but in a more realistic "urban" color scheme like grey-blue-black.

V1 Alley Viper mold has been MIA for some time, or most of it.

IMHO, Alley Vipers aren't any more elite than Rock Vipers or Night Vipers, basically all great within their realm of operations. And none of them are even close to Eels or Snow Serpents (Snow Serpents would be the toughest of the lot, possibly tougher than CG Immortals). Part of that is because I have so many Alley Vipers.

I'd rather have a six-pack of Desert Scorpions. there's been a lot of Alley Viper releases in recent years, ableit not the original mold, but still...4 of the 1997 version (v2 with Duke v1 legs) and 2 of the VvsV version (which just sucks).

For new evil organizations, I'd want one one totally unconnected to Cobra. The Headhunters had potential, but Hasbro only made 4 figures, no vehicles, and after canning DEF, Cobra absorbed them.
