Here is the direct link to the brand new 'Collections' Section:

http://www.joedios.com/dioramas/browseimages.php?c=10&userid=

I'm hoping that this will diffuse some of the tension...........

To access it, simply click onto the 'JoeDios Dioramas, Photos, Reviews & Files' link above each of those listed threads (the line listed between the top bar and the one that says "Home, My Stuff, What's New..etc.").

It will bring you to the page that looks like this:

http://www.joedios.com/dioramas/

Let me know if anyone has anymore questions, or can't seem to find it.......

Now, let's try to play nice, shall we???

Thank you everyone...........

I'm sure it will defuse the tension. But I really don't think a new section was necessary, at least it should not have been brought about like this, in this way.

I do not like collection pictures in the photo section, as I previously stated. But at the same time theres no real harm in it as it violates no rules here.

I'm a bit disapointed about the unrest in the ranks, with the mention of post counts and such. Yes there are newbies and yes there are vets, but I think us vets should perhaps set more of an example and stop winging about things that don't suit our personal preference. Perhaps we should also back our mods too. After all we are supposed to be veterans. I'd like to think we could take some of the heat off of G and Pru in a diplomatic non mod way and help a bit, instead of causing a fuss over nothing. I'm pretty sure the mods wouldn't kick our arses for trying to help, as long as we are diplomatic and tasteful...

And this is what this whole thread is, as well as the accusations, a great big fuss over nothing.

I'm left quite disapointed by the conduct of some members in this thread.

While I don't like the collection pictures showing up in the photo section, I'm not against it either. I don't really have a right to be, as I have mentioned, as G mentioned, it broke no rules of the site.

Congratulations though for the moaners. Enjoy this hollow victory. That is what the outcome of this thread is, a hollow victory. Going about this end result in the way some of you have wasn't good at all. But hey, you got what you wanted. But it should never have gone this far.

All I can offer up is this:

I think this is a great move by the forums. :D

In all fairness it doesn't matter how the change is brought about, as long as the change is made. When it becomes a problem to a rapidly growing site and nothing is done about it, it's bound to cause trouble and unrest.
Where you get trouble and unrest you very rarely see people being diplomatic, but i guess maybe i'm the one guilty here of being untolerable,.

After all I don't mind stepping forward and claiming the "hollow" victory. Contrary to what you might believe dave, I don't wallow in this one bit, I find it sad that it had come to this to make the change. :(

Hopefully those that take the time to capture the perfect true shot will have their coverage on the pages where it should be (stormer & luis) being two members i can think of.. I'm certain there are more people.. yourself included that will benefit from it.. and those wanting to browse collection pictures will also find their images in the right section where people who actually want to see them will get the chance to look at them as well.

You see unlike everyone else I sworn I wouldn't return back to JD, albeit i did earlier in a small capacity i only posted to help out a well known friend here..
I intend to see my promise through.. I maybe untolerable and I maybe non-diplomatic.. but I for one am definately sure to see that promise through so i wont be a beneficiary of what has changed.
Kindest regards
Richard

I do not think I was out of line or rude, I thought it was just a discussion thread, I didn't know everyone would react the way they did. But I do thank you Gen. Scarlet, hopefully this can get us back to the good ole days :D

I like this, Hopefully the Collections pics can be added to the Front page like the others have always been in the near future. I doubt I will look at them if I have to follow so many links.

Ummm, dude........if your on the 'Front Page', it's the 1st 'N' listed...and the link is literally right there, so you can 'click' and get right to it.......

It's also accessible from the 'Dioramas, Photos, Reviews and Files' Sections as is stated.....simply click on that listing and again, your taken to the page that has it listed.........

Not so much work (at least I don't think so),and if your posting in it or not, you can subsribe to the section and 'voila'.......

My Mistake, sorry about that. What I was saying is that hopefully we can get it set up in the future with thre preview pics like the from page has for the Dio and Pic catagory. I was not trying to be negative. I did not realize there was an N about in on the front page. I just jumped to newly posted threads and saw it there.

I must have my computer set up differently than how GS does cuz I can't find the section UNLESS I click on her links. My opening page has "new dioramas", "New photos" and then "News". The 1st two sections only show the latest 3 until I open them up all the way. Oh well, it's ok.

Graham,

Click on 'JOEDIOS.com'.......from that page, the first 'News' item has the link........

or

When your in 'Photos, Dioramas, Reviews or Files', click on that in the space between the 'Upload, My Favorites etc.' and the top bar of choices.....it'll bring you right to the setup.....the 'Collection' section has G.I. Joe holding a gun........

That should bring you right to it......

That's what I thought. I have a different set-up which explains why I didn't see half the problems people have. Thanks for doing all this. I don't have web-manipulation knowledge but I did email Mr Fel about 2 weeks ago about this. Now if we could just get a BUTTON that had "Collections".

This gets you directly to the COLLECTIONS PAGE. Please post your collections in the, uh, collections section!!! I am deleting collections in the PHOTOS section UNLESS you disguise it really well. ie; NOT all shots of your 15 (or whatever) troopers have to be in formation. If they are duking it with the Joes... ;)
