Ok gang, so it's been a rough freakin week, I'm kinda on the beer tonight, and rum...but that is besides the point. What is YOUR favorite song of all time? What song could you listen to a million times and NEVER get sick of?
Mine is Whiskey In The Jar. There are dozens of versions out there, and I love ALL of them, but one of the best is actaully done by the late Jerry Garcia.

Hard to say, I've a lot of songs like that. But let me say Paradise City, from Guns N' Roses.

My favorite song right now is 'Around The World' by Nikka Costa, from her album 'can'tneverdidnothin'
-everyone around the world
will find themselves about to fall
in my case I've gotten down, gotten up,
laid back down, filled my cup and had to crawl
but it's clear that it's my time to be here
and I'm gonna make it clear to you all
we spend our lives trying to get over
on this roller coaster that we're traveling on
and everyday we ride the elevator
no matter where it takes ya
up or down
(chorus)
don't let it get you down!
love will always be your soldier
wiping every tear you cry
yours for always and forever
yours until the end of time
(and the last stanza)
when ain't nothin' goin right(love will be your soldier)
when all you can do is cry(love will be your soldier)
when no one's around(love will be your soldier)
when your world is tumbling down(love will be your soldier)
:D

Hmmm, really difficult to pick just one, but if I had to, I'd go with "When you were mine" by The Church, whom no-one has probably heard of, right? For those who don't know them, they were an Aussie band of the 80's and early 90's with a psychedelic/shimmering guitar sound. ;)

Usually for me, it's songs with foreign Lyrics I can't understand. When a person's voice can convey the emotion without you even having to know the lyrics, that is the mark of a GREAT song.
Some of My Favorites are ;
Gotoz A Ran From the Blackhawk Down Soundtrack
Llorando by Rebekah Del Rio
And I've been jamming "Hemmorage" by Fuel a lot lately!

"Be cool or be cast out." Great song.
I have so many that it is hard to pick one.
Free Bird.
Been listening to Rock the Casbah a lot lately.
Van Halen's Top Of The World is in there too.
It's hard to nail one down.

The Canadian rock station has played the Church but I can never tell which tune it is cuz they play the White Stripes in the same set. Curious about the Church, tho...

Gotta say, I love "free bird" as well, but "simple kind of man" by Lynyrd Skynard is right up there as my favorite. It all depends on the mood though, I'm a huge a jazz fan and when the mood strikes me, you know what I'm sayin ;) , nothing beats some Duke Ellington "Sentimental Mood". It will make her... or his.. clothes fall off, and "take the A Train" is one of the best jazz songs ever. If you wanna fly under the radar and play a really catchy tune everyone will like but no one knows, try "gravity" by embassy. Popish, rocking, and moving, anyone can relate. Its a great tune. Well those are my top 1 songs, from each of my favorite genre :D . And like what was said at the begining of this thread. I too am on a little beer and alot of bourbon, finals are over baby!!! Yo Joe!!!!
