this issue was fun because you get to see the fight between Zartan and Ripcord which leads to Zartan impersonating Ripcord and learning the location of the PITT..also seeing Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow working together was neat ,as well the introduction of Alpine and Quick Kick seemed dropped in as neither really had that much face time in the comic as other Joes..overall this issue had some great build up towards what is to come in the next few issues

The ninja stuff was starting to take prominence around this time, and as a result, issues like this one didn't "grab" me as much. But the Ripcord angle was good, as was the debut of Alpine. One of those so-so issues.

This was a good one, I thought. Love the battle between Z and Ripcord. Hawk's new duds are great, and all the "backstory" stuff is pretty cool too. The next one is really one of my favorites though. Really gotta get these out and read 'em again.

I thought this issue was great. I didn't feel the presence of the heavy-handed ninja action that would plague GI Joe later on. It was a good issue, one that I read many times as a kid. My beef is still the events that occured immediately after the Cobra War.

I really like this one,it was the culmination of so many storylines-we find out WHO killed the Hard Master......Ripcord violates orders to try and find his love.......and Hawk really returns as GI Joe Commander. :)
