OK Here's a few:
1. Since your making Cartoon Versions of certain characters, does this mean will be seeing figures packed with a cartoon DVD?
2. Will we be seeing a DDP version of Joe Colton in the 25th line of figures?
3. How involved is Larry Hama in the New G.I. JOE Movie?
4. When will we start seeing the 25th line vehicles hit the stores?
5. How do you pick which figure gets made for the 25th line?

Will the Target Exclusive vehicles (and any possible future releases) have retooled footpegs to fit the smaller peg holes of the new figures?
While we understand the reasoning for having the "iconic" characters (Snake-eyes, Cobra Commander, Duke) on shelves, will any of the more prolific characters be getting a "rest" similar to what was done with Duke near the end of the 8" line?

-When the 25A is done, are there plans to move GI Joe ahead? ie: will we see the rest of the Plague?

(2)is there any chance that you will make the 25th figures easier to customize with the old joe figures?
(3) will there be wal-mart exclusives?
(4) what are the chance that you will answer all this questions this round with anything other then, "we have no plans as of now" or, "we will wait and see" or, "we will pass it on"?

Are there any plans to release GI Joe toys outside the US?
Will the movie toys be done in the same style as the 25th line, classic 3.75" (o-ring) or something different entirely?
Is there any possibility of seeing GI Joe Transformers (ideally as 3.75"-scale vehicles, or at least to scale with the Star Wars Transformers)?
You're going to continue with 25th style figures until such a time that the line ends rather than ever go back to o-ring construction, right?

ok, this question really needs to be asked. last time we were supposed to vote on the questions, if we did, we didnt vote on anything worth asking. everyone, even 25th haters should be wondering what the movie line will be like. only bad thing about this one, i think they will say, "well have to wait and see or no plans are made as of now"

This has already been asked and answered in both the Q&A and at the con I believe. From what's been stated, the current style of figure is THE style of figure for future releases, movie or otherwise.

1. Vehicles and Playsets - what plans are afoot in this regard. Are there more RAH 80's vehicles coming, or any plans to remake from new molds any classic vehicles or playsets?
2. Figures - can we expect to see any more 82-87 figures such as Clutch, Mainframe, Dialtone, Lifeline, Steeler etc etc.. or is the plan to move on into the later 80's and 90's?
3. Sgt Slaughter - why no slaughter? Can you confirm that you do not hold the rights in their entirety to make this figure? Can you acquire the rights or is this a dead issue?

If its not too late I'd like to add one more question.

1. Are the remainder of the original 13 slated for release in any format, whether it be a single, comic, or multi-pack?
2. Will any future characters have to be renamed or identified by their specialties or file names in order to bypass any copyright laws so they can see release?
3. Are the main Marvel comics the only Joe publishings slated for 2-pack treatment? I'd like to see some characters from some of the other books that have been released, like Frontline, America's Elite, "Declassified"s, either Special missions series, Master & Apprentice, or any of the newer story arcs from other publishers (the Joe/Transformer crossovers may be a bit of a stretch, but I'll mention those too).
4. What are the chances of seeing larger playsets (Terror Drome, Flagg, etc.) or vehicles (including fighter planes) being released for this line or the movie line?
5. Will the latest and future merchandise offerings be readily available (barring any distribution issues) at all of the stores currently carrying your merchandise, as well as HasbroToyShop.Com?

I think asking about a DDP-style Joe Colton (or anyone else) is a perfectly valid question, and helps Hasbro to see that there is an interest in characters & designs outside the Sunbow cartoon. You can't really dismiss it saying that DDP doesn't have the comics license any more, since Marvel hasn't had it either for over 10 years but they're still basing figures on those stories...!

At the risk of sounding sarcastic, after reading Hasbro's replies, I wonder why we even write them anymore. It's like most of their answers are "We'll see", "There are no plans for that right now" or some other ambigious answer. Especially when it comes to the answers that detracters (READ;HATERS) of the 25th ask. In the old days, retailers were like Execs, they would give you straight answers, like "yes" and "no". These guys have become politicians. Why don't they just say "Unless TRU, Target or Walmart says ok, we're not gonna listen to you!"
It's like they're saying to us "No, there are absolutley no plans to go back to the classic line you spent thousands of dollars on, but we're hoiping our ambigious answers will keep your hopes up until you lose all hope in O rings and the like and convert to our new line. So, throw out that multi-million dollar uncompatible collection and start again because our new execs need Jaguars and Lexus just like the guys who kicked it in the '80's!"
I'm not gonna TOTALLY diss the 25th. I bought a few and I will still pick and chose a few if they look good enough or are new figures, but I'm NOT gonna start over. I'll wait for Con sets, over priced DTC wave four from MC and I guess buy DTC repaints from the Hulk collection!
Here's one;
Will hasbro use old DTC or VvsV molds for other toy lines like they did for "The Hulk"?

Ok gang.....the questions have been sent.
Questions were chosen based on their uniqueness-so as not to get the same questions answered that are sent from other boards.
Here are the questions that have been sent:
1) Will we be seeing a DDP version of Joe Colton in the 25th line of figures?
2) How do you pick which figure gets made for the 25th line?
3) Are the main Marvel comics the only Joe publishings slated for 2-pack treatment? 5) What are the chances of seeing larger playsets (Terror Drome, Flagg, etc.) or vehicles (including fighter planes) being released for this line or the movie line?
Once the answers have been sent to me, I'll post them up. Along with the answers to any of the other questions posted by members that have been answered by any of the other Joe Boards.
If anyone sees any answers on those boards that they think would be helpful to the members here at JoeDios......copy and paste them up in this thread......just be sure to tell us which board you got them from!!

I won't desist. I will ask for them until I see the return of the rings or til I...
It took me many years to own a lot of GI Joe figures from the 80's that I didn't have when I was a child. I didn't quit. Now I have many (not all) the Joes I like.
Ok, I will not make more questions about O-rings. But I will keep asking Hasbro to produce ol' school figures.

You may well be correct about o-rings never coming back (and I suspect you are), but I don't think we should be dismissive of anyone's questions. That one is a question more than a few people would like answered, and they certainly have a right to ask. Whether it makes the final cut or not is up to the mods. Remember, there's no stupid questions, only stupid answers. Other than that, how do you define a "real" question?
A bit late, but anyway :)
I read through those questions, but I must say, that my point of view is very close to Frank's...
You know, a friend of mine - collecting almost every series of toys (then selling it out after a month or so, but nevermind) - was a bit turned on by Joes and bought four sets of Viper Pit, Cobra Imperial Procession and Joe Heavy Assault. To make long story short - when he was selling the stuff, I bought 5 Vipers from the pit set, but didn't believe much in his saying that they are a bit junky.
Well - I got them in my hands...
Why, for heaven's sake Vipers were:
- unable to move their heads?!
- had somehow springing legs, that could be positioned ONLY to make figure stand straight?!
- having a spots of paint here and there
It's a question of quality and WHAT comes to the customers. Jeez, he got it straight from the US, so a history, that stuff which is exported to other countries is of lower quality is out.
You know, I'm also a modeller, so I picked my scalpel and in hour's time i trimmed some STRANGE plastic from the ball head (yeah. Ball head. Which was casted in a way, that disabled moving it in ANY direction), and I also trimmed a LOT of plastic in the crotch part, which was blocking legs and the fastening hook...
Ok - now the Vipers are in perfect shape, like the old ones. But, can anyone tell me, why is it so? Why I'm forced to spend additional hour of trimming and cutting to have a figure of decent quality? If it was a one time flaw... But I seriously doubt if any of the so called major Hasbro lines are made better.
In such case - I'm not buying 25th's - because I don't like them. I'm not into Sigma 6. And so - I will NOT be buying newer releases - even based on old moulds - because they suck.
I'm only saved by all those, who sell the good, old Joes. Which are pricey and it's quite hard to make a little army building. Especially with budget of about $150 per half a year for Joes. (Ok. $100. Count out the s&h)
What a pity... Those Pit Vipers were a nice idea - why, instead of giving such junk, they haven't thought of SAW Vipers Pit or others?
Yes, I know I got lenghty, but this bothers me a lot. I would love to ask anyone from Hasbro 'bout that, but they won't bother answering I'm afraid.
Or maybe I'm the unlucky guy who got this cursed pieces? (Yeah, I bought 5 out of 24 and ALL of them were faulty :P )

Hot of the presses..........here's the answers to our latest list of questions....
1) Will we be seeing a DDP version of Joe Colton in the 25th line of figures?
There are currently no plans for Joe Colton to appear in the 25th.
2) How do you pick which figure gets made for the 25th line?
The design team comes up with a recommendation and then the team discusses the options. We take into account which figures are the most popular with fans, would look cool, and fit with the rest of the line.
3) Are the main Marvel comics the only Joe publishings slated for 2-pack treatment? I'd like to see some characters from some of the other books that have been released, like Frontline, America's Elite,"Declassified"s, either Special missions series, Master & Apprentice, or any of the newer story arcs from other publishers (the Joe/Transformer crossovers may be a bit of a stretch, but I'll mention those too).
The plan right now is to do marvel 2-packs and brand new comics written
by Larry Hama.
4) Will hasbro use old DTC or VvsV molds for other toy lines like they did for "The Hulk"?
There are no current plans for this, but anything is possible down the line.
5) What are the chances of seeing larger playsets(TerrorDrome, Flagg, etc.) or vehicles (including fighter planes) being released for this line or the movie line?
There will not be any playsets in the anniversary line. For the movie,we will try and put out a line that does justice to the 80's as well as
deliver an awesome play experience for kids.

Questions were sent based on the variety between all the active G.I. Joe boards...sending the same question 14 times with different wording is still the same question.
And I'm sure that the person who originally asked the question is pleased that it was submitted, even if the answer is not what they were hoping for.

"No current plans...anything's possible..." Now, where have I heard those answers before? Oh yeah, from the last lot of questions! Thanks for the 2 seconds it took you to write them, Hasbro!

Copy and paste answers AGAIN.
We should ask them if they have the necesary brain to elaborate a little more their answers, or at least Hatebro should give us a list of available questions.

Slow progress......but at least they take the time to answer.....even if it is with very thinly veiled, open-ended answers.....
