I've to agree with you when you say that some people will not like sigma. But aren't so many that will dislike it. If you give a look at photos section you will find some S6 there. And you'll see good works.

I think all the coments will come to help even from people that aren't in S6 'verse. But don't forgot to post.

Sigma6 is a hard sell but Swindle and I are two of the few guys who post S6 stuff here. I'm slowly working on a dio but nothing is concrete yet. I might wait till Zartan comes out. Anyway, looking forward to it. Eventually, these overseas guys here will figure out the 3.75" won't be back till next year sometime (for the 25th anniversary) and that Sigma6 is where ALL Hasbro's efforts are right now.

And at least it's being met with better reception than GI Joe Extreme! LOL!

I have to admit, i was a S6 hater
but after i bought Firefly ~ which is still in the package ~
I am tempted to get more of them

especially after the preview of the upcoming S6 figures at the convention

and ya know what, just go ahead & post, S6, 3.75 & those who even have the 2.5
this is for the love of everything GIJoe, not a popularity contest :)

Agreed!

I'm waiting the release of S6 here in Brazil. The date for the debut is september. The most important to me for begin this collection will be prices. I heard they will come out here around US$ 35,00!!!

I admit, part of the reason why I haven't gone on to Chapter 2 yet is because I've been playing with my S6 figures instead. Hasbro really suffers from the in-package problem where what we see in the package doesn't necessarily turn us on. But once you get the stuff out, you're like, "hey, these are kinda cool." I don't mean JUST the Sigma6 stuff. There are several 3.75" that I didn't think would be all that great until I opened it up. Major Barrage or the DTC HISS tanks, for example.

Once you play around w/ an S6 figure, you'll realize it's a whole 'nother entity. It might not be GI Joe to you, but they are decent action figures. And just for reference, v1 Heavy Duty has a swivel under his shoulder joint which the other figures do not have. Not sure why, but it really helps that particular figure and I wish they had added that articulation as a standard to the rest.

I was trying to choose one of the S6 guys to be my first one. I was around SE and HD, what you say?

Save money and buy both?

The 1st Wave Commando set are all winners. There are more pros than cons with them. When you get to variants, well, that's a different matter. It's like, do you need Sea Ops Duke or Duke w/ Jetpack or Arctic Duke or Quad Duke or the upcoming, ultra-cool HALO Duke? You get v1 of them, you don't really have to worry too much about the 'other' versions that come out.

I'll break it down right quick.

Duke.
Pro. Comes w/ double holster and 2 ultra-cool pistols.
Pro. He has a great vest that you can attach his grenades to.
Con. The lack of pants. He looks funny with a big vest and chicken legs, same way as Destro. But THAT can be remedied by buying a Duke w/ Jetpack and giving Duke lightwing the vest. ;) My next Duke will be HALO Duke in which he looks like Master Chief of Halo.

Heavy Duty.
Pro. Comes w/ a huge gattler that has spring loaded barrel action.
Pro. Bandana comes off.
Pro. Has pants. lol
Pro. He's physically HUGE.
Con. Limited poseability w/ gun.

Spirit.
Pro. Has pants. Can be argued that he looks ok w/o.
Pro. Has an interesting bow that can fire arrows.
Pro. Great design and sculpt.
Con. No gun.

Snake Eyes.
Pro. Comes w/ multiple visors.
Pro. His swords turn into tonfa, his sheaths can attach to his back and he comes w/ an uzi w/ a removable clip.
Pro. Great poseability.
Con. He's anorexic looking?

Storm Shadow.
Pro. Ninja bad guy.
Pro. Someone for Snake Eyes to beat up on. Or vice versa.
Pro. Doesn't have a Sigma suit which means he relies on actual skill and strength to fight!
Pro. Comes w/ a stand to hold his swords.
Con. Fairly boring figure.
