*sigh* Still need to work on focus. Get used to taking MULTIPLE shots of the same thing. That way, you can choose the best one. And if it means 50 shots for 1 scene, so be it. It IS possible you are getting TOO close for the shot. There's nothing wrong with pulling back and cropping it down to what you need. You ARE working with a large canvass in the end, no need to keep things fully framed.

Aside from the Sunlight glare on the last two pictures, they are better than the images that were shown in part 1.
The ones from your first post are too close, go back and read my post from dio part 1. See how you get on.

[COLOR=Red]their right about the focus. but dont take it wrong and give up, i have many shots out of focus. do like graham said and take different shots of the same pic. i do this all the time with no less then 3, and also the same shot from different angles. like i said, no one is trying to bring you down, just offering a lil advice. you have already shown improvement, that alone shows that you should keep moving forward.[/COLOR]

By all means, don't get discouraged. You have come a LONG way. Take what people tell you as CONSTRUCTIVE critism, a guide to how to improve, and not as someone telling you what's wrong. You're posing and angles have improved tremendously!

I've been here since 2005 and I'm STILL working on focus. The problem is, pictures look great on the tiny screen on the back of our camera for the second and a half they show up after taking the pic. But once looking at a full screen version of it, sometimes things are fuzzy. Eeek!

The only other words of advice I always tell myself is "think Arashikage photography."

This does not mean to do a ninja kick while snapping the pic, or reciting Zen riddles while you try to do Tommy's finger-knitting symbols and snapping a pic with your pinky finger....

It means, like Storm Shadow, train to see what is beyond the target. This awareness can help you remove out of scale debris, or realize some piece of patio furniture is behind the intended shot... Stormy doesn't want to shoot the glider-rocker by mistake, and neither should I. (Seriously, you have no ideas how many pics I have deleted...And I posted some of the ones that should have been deleted...)

But then again, I'm not the pot or the kettle...I'm the chimney soot. :D

I just want to encourage you to keep shooting and things will continue to improve. I have received lots of constructive criticism, and its great.

If people didn't care whether we got better or not, there might be no replies at all...
