Now.. I've never had the most graceful share of opinions with you here hershel.. on most things GIJOE we don't always see eye to eye. You sound disappointed in letting the team down in your fight. Don't be too disheartened.

I agree with what has been said, i've watched the video on youtube and for the most part you stood up well and fought your ground.
I always find it best with any sporting contest you ask yourself questions. "did you give yourself the best chance" or more simply "did you do your best?"

If your answer to those is YES then you should be proud of yourself, as a better fighter if you find yourself saying no i didnt do my best, assess what else you could of done to better your end result and adjust that for the next contest.

All in all it looked like you had him at one stage. If you continue fighting i wish you the best.

Don't let one bad outting get you down. Yeah, it hurts, but you learn and move on to the next match/game. I've played sports all my life and have made dozens of mistakes. Practice, practice, practice.
Besides, I bet you could still kick MY @$$!

To add more to my original comment, you had the upper hand for most of the match, he only seemed to get you at the end. The important thing is you did your best, and I'm sure you'll come out swinging for the next time! Don't take it as a loss, take it as a learning experience, and kick some a$$ next time around.

thanx guys. yeah i thought i had the upper hand too, but it only takes one shot or one mistake. it wasnt the loss that bothered me, its the fact that i was the main event and i dont know how many people came because everyone thought it would be no contest. a loss comes to everyone, what bothers you is when you truely believe your better then your opponent. It happens. Even a monkey can pull a trigger. How many Delta guys got killed in Somalia by guys not Half the caliber they were? Just climbing in the ring makes you braver that 99.99% of people.

Maybe the reason you got nailed is because you were TOO confident that you had this guy. I remember when I used to do Martial Arts, I usually lost when I underestimated my competition. I had a buddy who was set to fight a girl in a second round elimination match and he laughed. She kicked his @$$. I got in the ring (I had to fight her next round) and I gave her no mercy. I beat her so bad I got booed. But after the fight she came up and thanked me for not holding back on her like a lot of the guys did.

Man, you got guts fighting full contact and Grande Gajones fighting MMA. Do you prefer to keep fighting upright or do you look for the chance to take him down?

i do both. at first i took it to the ground a lot, but that was because i knew the ground game and most around here didnt. now everyone trains, so i try which one they seem to be worse at.
