Back When I purchased Comic Book Creator software to make Dios. I really liked the idea of having a software that would save files as .PDF (Adobe Acrobat Reader) files. There were some qwerks.....issues with saving fonts, not being able to resize the pictures within the frame to fit, but I managed to work around a lot of them.

Well, suddenly Planetwide software comes out with CBC2 and lo and behold, my software starts acting weird. Everytime I open ANYTHING on my desktop, windows installer pops up trying to load CBC and after about 4 - 5 tries, errors out and says it can't find the source file. Everything I try to do gets delayed because I have to close out the windows installer 4-5 times! Open a program, look at a pic or movie clip, even change web pages!

I uninstalled, and it still kept happening. I reloaded the entire PC from scratch and as soon as I put on CBC it started again. I thought, maybe the exe file is corrupt, so I went to their website and guess what? They're not supporting CBC1 anymore! I gotta buy CBC2 to fix it. I even tried installing CBC on my Son's PC...know what it did? Told me my product key had been used the Max amount of times and I had to purchase a new one! Anyone ever hear of that? A software that conveinently goes bad just when the new version comes out then voids it's CD key when you try to reload your PC. Microsoft could take a lesson from these guys!

Am I being paranoid? Could it be coincidence? Maybe, but I have sent them 3 emails telling them what is going on and nadda! When I first bought their software and couldn't get the CD key to work and told them I was gonna ask for my money back, they answered the next day! But now that they have a new software and an excuse (We don't support that any longer!) they can ignore me as they wish.

No way in hell will I buy software from these guys again and no way will I EVER recommend their software. Has anyone else had issues with them?

I got my creator from from sgcaper on here (thanks bud) and have never had an issue with it, but I don't allow it to connect to the internet. But its not surprising they would do something like. Greedy software companies, thats really shitty of them frank. I'll boycott'em and spread the word throughout my i.t. circles with ya. (wait a sec, is this clique-ish :D )

What's funny is a lot of guys got a cracked version of it and have no issues...I PAY for it and get screwed! See what I get for supporting "Da Man"!

im not saying i have a cracked version of anything. you know if i did, it could get a man in trouble. but either way, when i had CBC, it never gave me any problems, but i prefer photoshop because of the size thing.

 odd,
I had some issues the other week, I was loading CBC and it wouldn't load the page templates. I got round the problem by deleting the shortcut and clicking on the main program link from the pc directory.. I don't know if this is in a similar way,

I have the registered paid version from CBC1. It connects to the net fine and i've never had any problems with their support.

The only issue i had with it was the frame in photo thing, but you can get round that no worries. :o
