i thought it might be kinda fun if we each posted a pic w/file card of the custom characters we use as ourself. and if its ok, and not a hard custom to let others do some cameos every now and then, if anyone wants to. it would be cool if we popped up in someone else's dio or a pic. if you have an easy custom, no paint needed, just a switch here and there i like to use cameos for the background.

anyway, here is mine. countdown head, snake eyes V4 torso and arms and mercers hip and legs.

Agent Viper
05-25-2008, 05:49 PM
PICTURE CLASSIFIED

Name- Sgt. Bones
Primary Specialty- Sand Viper Leader

COBRA commander Hand trained him, hand carved him, basically did everything a father would do to him.
His birthplace in Viet Cong Territory was burnt to the ground on a secret mission made by the CIA.
Since he was little, Bones has hated America, so when COBRA found him they knew he would become powerful.
Little else is known about Bones except his father is also in COBRA and also Vietnamese and he is trained in weapons by Firefly.

" I will find out who my father is"

Lehsreh that is an awesome custom of you, I can't believe how close to you that figure looks. He even has the same pouty face you got going on in that picture of yours. I like the idea and I would so make a custom of myself too (cause who wouldn't want an action figure of themselves), I just don't think I have the necessary parts right now. I would need a figure who wears glasses and is dark haired and I don't think Misha's head quite fits me, especially as I don't wear crazy large glasses like him. Nonetheless, this is a cool idea, then we really will have our own avatars :P.

yeah Dersham, you should make one, or give me an idea. i would like to use some people on here, if nothing else in the background as homage to the joe community.

and that is one great bio there matt.

For mine, you would have to ask Lord Raven (Shane), it's his figure, but I believe Roll Bar with a custom head.

Stormer

I just use a Steel Brigade figure as Stormer, since that was the codename I used back in the '80s when I "joined." I should have the Steel Brigade filecard info for Stormer up in the attic somewhere.

Before that, I'd actually joined the Action Force Club (done by Hasbro when they took over from Palitoy) and the codename they gave me was Night Hornet. I've assigned that identity to one of my Steel Brigade Paratrooper figures, so I can now have Stormer and Night Hornet working alongside each other and they're BOTH figures of "me!"

cool, i remember when they did the mail away thing. never could get a grown up to send it off for me. as a kid, i thought it was the coolest thing ever.

When I sent off for my Steel Brigade membership, I got all the personalised documents back but they sent me a (carded) Tiger Force Duke and a letter saying they'd run out of the Steel Brigade figures! So I didn't actually HAVE Stormer as part of my active Joe-verse until I finally got one on eBay in 2005!
