I think he is an ok figure. I didn't like the way his head was a pop on like the 25ths, but now i know why. But its hard for me to find a place for him bc I never played with him as a kid, I don't have all the memories and background stories I made up for a lot of the other characters. So I guess as an adult my creative juices for him can't come up with anything.

hes there in my joeverse, but not a major player. i think the figure itself is a good figure, but like fireflyed said, i did not play with his as a kid and he isnt rich in story or history so he will never be big to me.

I wish the 25th stuff kept going like the DTC was doing. We had a lot of good figures with the re-use of VvsV molds and ST molds. The DTC wave 4 would be a great wave. NVs, Blueshirt Officers, Outback, a new character (what a lot of folks like, including me) Munitia, an nice update for Airtight. Unfortunely, Hasbro took the wrong way.

Major Barrage was a great hit IMO. A real big figure, tall and with muscles like we expected from his filecard. I saw many Roadblock custom based on the Major Barrage figure. It's a toy who has what I like about a figure: Swinvel hands, nice camouflage pants and a blank background. He plays an important place in my 'verse, i just don't have his function very clear. It's a ranking officer that we don't see on Joeverse a lot.

Major Barrage is an antagonist in my Joeverse. He has a beef with the Steel Brigade member Checkpoint. His bio includes lines like;
"The team is relieved he’s on their side, since his fast temper and faster fists are legendary."
and;
“I don’t mind taking a hit or two, if it means I can get close enough to a COBRA trooper to wrap my hands around his neck and give a little squeeze.”

This coupled with his brute force philosophy gives me an impression that this guy is kind of a jerk. Almost a bully, using his size to intimidate some of the other joes. This creates a rift inside the team that can add a dynamic to the adventures that otherwise wouldn't be there. I also see the Sunbow version of GI Joe as unreal strictly because everyone is buddies with everyone else. From personal experience I can tell you, in the thick of it these guys will have your back but you get back to barracks and you would hate these guys guts.

Like Cory, I'm not keen on his 25th style head, but overall I like the figure and character, and I've used him in quite a few pics. He has a solid place in my Joeverse as a tough field commander.

I don't own Major Barrage but he seems like a solid figure I'm sure I would use him if I had him.. can't place his specialty at the moment..

This is other fig I am looking for. Actually I am looking for Graham's one. :D

I see him like the succesor and antagonist of Sgt. Slaugther, and there is a rivalry between them.

I like the mold and can forget his head design.
