Hey all,

I haven't been posting pics lately because, well... I've been doing other G.I. Joe stuff.

I'm still working on the script for my possible dio-story (nowhere near completion), and because of that, I'm working on building my first genuine set: Hawk's office. It's proving to be a LOT more difficult than I thought. In fact, I only have the floor done, and a table painted. Right now, I'm working on a generic wooden base for ALL the sets that I'll make from here on out, so that walls and floors can simply be switched out for other ones. Theoretically it'll save time, space, and most importantly, money :D

As I get closer to completing Hawk's office, I'll post some pics in this thread.

Anyway, I'll try to get some good ol' fashioned G.I. Joe photos up this weekend, but I'm not making any promises.

Have fun!!!

Awesome, I can't wait to see what you put together!

Though I have to say, your trials are reminding of why I use "pre-existing" sets like the original G.I. Joe HQ and the Mobile Command Center!
Though I have to say, your trials are reminding of why I use "pre-existing" sets like the original G.I. Joe HQ and the Mobile Command Center!
I used to have both of those in beautiful shape, then sold them somewhere around 2000 - 2001, I think. I'd SO be using those if I still owned 'em.

Truly, this is all I have done right now, aside from the beginnings of a story. The table cost one dollar, plus $13 to stain and polyurethane it. I'll be using those several times, though, so in the long run it should be worth it. Underneath is foamboard, with a felt "carpet" glued on.

I went to both Michael's and JoAnn Fabrics in less than 24 hours for this stuff. I've already given up several man cards because of it! Ah, Scrubs :D
Dave, you HAVE seen my WALL BUILDING How-To, right???
I hadn't yet, but I'll be checking it out now :D

Thanks for the interest, guys! Like I've said in the past, I don't want anyone thinking this dio-story will actually get made. I'm working on it, but it's definitely taking more time than I was thinking it would.

I'll keep posting updates for Hawk's office as they're available.

Have fun!!!

dio stories always take more time then anyone thinks. thats why i think most just do pics, its easier, but once the dio is done and you go back and read it, you get a warm fuzzy feeling.
