Ok, so for those of you who don't know how it works, here's a quick rundown... Each weekend we have a differnt theme and all the members post pictures of their own idea of how the theme should look.
Simple enough... ok, so here's February... oh, and thank you all for your ideas.
2-6-09 - "Behind the Scenes" (Donated by Guiltridden) Lets see how all of these wonderful Dioramas and various sets are done. How's it look behind the scenes? Who helps you?
2-13-09 - "Hand to Hand" (Donated by Troopsofdoom) The guys, and girls, who prefer to be "up in your face". Lets see some ninjas and other various CQB specialists or just some average Joe/Cobra "no gun" fighting.
2-20-09 - "Crossovers" (Donated by Flatline) Everyone loves crossovers, its kinda like the Mac-N-Cheeze of our world.
2-27-09 - "Leader Fights" (Donated by Agent Viper) Hmmm.... need I say more? Watch as all the various "head-honchos" duke (no pun intended) it out.
Thanks again guys and gals for all your ideas... keep the new ideas coming tho, I'd hate to run out.

Ok, so the first weekend of the month flopped... no one posted (including myself), but hopefully we can make better this coming weekend? I am really hoping the Weekend Warriors doesn't wash away as did the "NFO/OWN" battle.
If anyone has anything to add, say it now before we go thru another empty weekend.
I honestly forgot it was the weekend till yesterday, that's my excuse... as I sure alot of you were busy and what-not. Let me know if I need to change something.

How about we make Weekend Warriors a contest? The NFO/OWN thing inspired a lot of amazing shots. A little competition would be good. Here's the idea:
- Label your shot Weekend Warriors: [theme]
- All members can vote for their favorite on Monday.
- Tally the votes and announce the winner on Tuesday.
- The winner receives bragging rights.
Pretty simple. What does everybody think?

I didn't think there was a theme last weekend... or did I miss something? I do usually try to post something each weekend.... Personally, I think if you have a competition perhaps make it less frequent.... maybe monthly?... a similar thing runs on one of the 1/6th boards where at the end of every month people nominate their favourite pic of that month and then others vote - the winner gets glory and bragging rights...

I didn't post last weekend because it was busy as heck!
I also try to post each week, but its getting harder now that real life is taking its time

By no means am I blaming anyone... I was simply saying that I understand people are busy, heck, I have no job, I passed on school this semester, I sit at home all week, and yet I was too busy to remember my own Weekend warriors. I completely understand where people are coming from, I was simply saying lets not forget about it completely.
I do like the idea of a contest, the best photo from the Weekend Warriors wins the creator bragging rights. Now of course this will have to be thought about alot before I can institute it into the theme... how they are voted, what we look for, and alot of other factors would have to come into play, so I'll start it March, that way its a fresh start. I might even do a Best of the Month Contest, that would be alot of fun too. Instead of picking just each week, go thru the month and tally all the votes... best pic of the month wins.

Nonono man, misunderstand me right - I got what you were saying ;)
I think January is a very busy month for most people, it will probably get back to the status quo soon enough, you'll see ;)

I'm not suggesting any changes to Weekend Warriors, keep it exactly the same as it's always been, except people vote for their favorite on Mondays. Members could post a link to their pick in the monthly WW thread. Just trying to generate some competition like the OWN/NFO thing without any complications. :)

If the Weekend Warriors becomes a competition, then having one theme per month sounds good.
I, for one, had intended to post some photos but ran out of time preparing a custom.

I really like Weekend Warriors the way it is. A different theme every weekend. I got lots of behind the scenes for this weekend saved up, and i "love" star wars crossovers, but contests are always cool too

I intend to leave Weekend Warriors alone for the time being, I enjoy the different themes and different creativity sparks. I was simply asking for opinions to see what everyone thought.
I still search for ideas for March, so if anyones got any fresh ideas let me know.

if we did one crossover theme a month, you would have one less weekend to worry about

Thats not a bad idea, but how does everyone else feel about it? I wouldn't mind, but at the same time, eventually it would get old and things would start getting repeated.

So, I figured I would post here rather than repeating it on all the differnent pics.
I would like to say great job to all so far on this weekend's theme... all the pics are wonderful and its not even Saturday yet. Keep up the good work!

Please keep on adding onto the IDEAS thread. I do look at what is chosen by Black Knight for the Weekend Warriors and I accordingly delete those ideas from the IDEAS post. That way, BK can 'easily' look thru the options and choose what he wants. Or the sorting hat decides. You get the idea.
