I recently e-mailed Hasbro about the office chairs and computer desk/consoles in the SDCC 09 – G.I. Joe Booth I finally got an answer. I did send response asking what would it take to show enough interest to get the office chairs and computer desk/consoles produced just a few minuets ago. I'll let y'all know what is said. In the mean time I think if we get enough folks to e-mail, write, or call Hasbro that would probably do the trick.
Below is the conversation with Hasbro rep (Charlotte)

SDCC 09 – G.I. Joe Booth Diorama

I have a question regarding parts used in the San Diego Comic-Con 09 – G.I. Joe Booth Diorama. In the display it showed a set up of a control room, which I assume is from the movie. Also, there were office chairs and computer desk/consoles. I was wondering if the chairs and computer desk/consoles will be coming out in some sort of play set as they looked manufactured and not scratch built.
The picture in the attachment is from the scene in which I'm referring to.

I think if you FLOOD them, they'll buckle. iirc, the address is customerservice@hasbro.com ??? Don't quote me on that, but I have emailed them in the past about stuff and it's worked out.

Wow... so she turns round and her supervisor says:
"email him back and tell him we dont make them and dont have plans to" guess what she does? :o
do yourselves all a favour... dont waste your energy emailing hasbro.. they dont want your ideas and dont want people telling them what sells.. whatever they release ..regardless you'll go and buy it anyway! :D
Their responses here and in the Q&A proves it, their recent run of products proove they dont listen to all of their fanbase when it comes to product ideas.

Well this the the response I got today. I think it sounds encouraging. So I say for folks to e-mail Hasbro and show there is interest now that she said she "forwarded my comments to our management team".

thank you
If I might ask what would it take to have enough interest shown for Hasbro to produce the chairs and computer desk/consoles.

Here's my last follow up question I sent just now. I'll post the answer when it comes:
Again thank you
Now that you have forwarded my comments to your management team will they be contacting me? There are a lot of folks that are interested in office chairs and computer desk/consoles from the San Diego Comic-Con 09 – G.I. Joe Booth Diorama. I think they would sell at retail or at the very least through an internet exclusive set of some kind.

This is cool. Eventhough Hasbro is being professional about it--not promising anything, being courtious--it's positive at least. No one is saying "stop bugging us."
I'll be sending my email to them probably tomorrow. A steady stream of requests would certainly help keep the memory that there are folks interested in the prop. You know, keep it fresh on their minds.

I hate to be the negative one about this but I have written enough form letters to recognize this is a canned response!
Lets say I write hasbro and say:
Dear Hasbro kiss my butt! You and your morons in management are a disgrace!
thank you
Scuba Steve
Their response would be:
Hi Scuba Steve,
Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. We appreciate your interest.
There are no plans at this time to kiss your butt.
We will share your suggestion with the appropriate personnel.
Thanks again for your interest.

So So True!
I actually written to them by international mail when I was about 11 years old. Some time in 1991 .. their responses then were just as robotic as they are now.. they haven't changed their stance at all.
It's a shame because as fans we're the ones that keep their funds going by spending our money on their products.. you'd think they'd listen.. you know.. just a teency weency little bit..

I think tonight I'll be sending my email. I figure it's better to try than not to. Afterall, I have nothing to loose, but everything to gain.
