Hi all,

My apologies for the extended downtime. The server JoeDios is on had a hardware failure and had to be shipped back to the site admin. He fixed it, and while he was in there, upgraded the hard drives. Sean, the admin, and I are long time friends. He let me know that JD was using 10 Gigs of space, from 60,000 files, and that's what was taking so long to restore. 4 days of uploading!

Anyway, on his request, I foot the bill for the drives, since JoeDios takes up FAR more space than any other site on the server, and was happy to do so.

I will be setting up a Facebook Group so we will have a place to communicate should the site ever go down again.

okay So I Just Attemtep To Post A Photo And It Says An Error Has Ocurd Trying To Set Up A File Or Some Junk And If It Pursist To Notify Webmaster. Help!!!!!

We were all experiencing withdrawal symptoms from the absence of Joedios.com the past few weeks.

Now we're able to get our daily fix from its return.

Welcome back! :D

Also, I'd like to mention that this site is not able to maximize small pics to its original large file size. Any chance that this could be fixed?

I believe the problem of us uploading recent stuff is... uh... Let's just say for Death's own website (in the works), he's having the same problem. Maybe he has it fixed but... Anyway... the create a folder for a file thing is beyond me but it's a universal thang for websites. Just fyi.

Yeah. Apparently it's what IT/Programmer people do. IIRC, Hammerfel actually has like, 4-5 websites out there. The JD is just one of them!

Whew! THAT'S the reason it went down....

I lost the use of the camera I had been borrowing from a friend. The site went down two days later. I got my own camera a couple days ago, now the site is back up. I thought either A) I'm magical, or B) the site new it wouldn't be recieving any new pictures from me for a while and slipped into a deep depression and eventually shut its self down until such a time as it knew I'd gotten a new camera and would be posting more pictures.

Glad it's back up, I've gotten some some new stuff of which to take pictures.

Flatline. Death is creating an art gallery site cuz he's into CG works. It's for his own use but I'm guessing other artists can contribute. I was just saying, if an artist there wants to show their work, they'll do the same as here. Upload the file. So with that in mind, he understands the problem of uploading stuff, permissions, creating folders for a file, etc etc.

OMG don't ever do that again! I would get online and without JD I would be done in ten minutes, then I had to do things like talk to the wife and get involved with my kids. (they are so happy that the site is back up)

So I get on the computer and open the link and wait...and wait...and wait...then the Bill Gates window pops up telling me that I'm a freaking moron for logging on the computer because there is no such website as JoeDios. You know I had to go out to HissTank to find out what happened. Thankfully we've got a highly diverse group of members here who could let me know.

Oh, and thanks Sonn for the email about the Hasbro Q&A.

I love this site and really missed it while it was gone!! Thanks for everything Hammerfel....You are appreciated!!!

Glad to have the site back... I finally make my return and find it down. It was a little disappointing. Either way tho, glad to have it back and I'm glad to be back.
