Hey guys,

So I finally got my new computer parts.Yeah.I had a loner for a few weeks while my parts came in..

So here's my problem:
Mother Board has only 1 IDE hook up while I use 2 DVD writers; I have to use a IDE converter to a SATA hard drive for both my hard drives.Unfortunately I couldn't get the MB to register the SATA HD for the OS installment so I just used 1 Writer and 1 HD for the time being.OS is installed. So now I want to get the other HD on board. The MB will not reconize it is hooked up. I have the jumpers on both HDs as a master and slave but it will not even boot up with both plugged in.

Everything is brand new and should work.I installed all the MB drivers that came with the disk.Its very frustrating as I had this set up before.

Any sugestions would be appreciated.I might have looked over something easy so don't be afraid to say anything that seems ovious.

Thanks

What I have done On my computer that had similar issues was just buy a cheap External HD case (you can find them for about 25 bucks) and put it in there. Might not be what you want to hear but its what i have done in the past.

Thanks for the input. ::D

That would be a last resort though as my 2 boys have sticky fingers when it comes to my computer and the wifes laptop. They always have their fingers on the keyboard when we aren't watching. Ask Graham,Carlos and Shane as they like to talk to them while I use the washroom. lol
