I just got back from ScaleFest 2010 and Squadron. Lots of models. Very cool. But what might be of more interest to us who enjoy the 1/18 scale (90 mm) Joe stuff might be the books. LOTS of them about sculpting your own figures. Some are step-by-step and various techniques. I bought a few things, mostly books, historical reference types... like German insignias of WWII, German experimental aircraft of WWII, and several books on the SR-71 (my all time favorite jet); and got to see the warehouse--so full of models! Lots of nice models of all scales on display, including some very large naval vessels, and some fantasy castles under siege. Very cool stuff.
Anyway, no pics to share, but I'm in a very pro-let's-build-something mood. Just wanted to post about it.. I guess the feeling is getting the better of me.
