Airtight!! Now that was a Brilliant episode. Good story, pacing and action. Can't wait to get Renegades on disc.

"Episode 17: Castle Destro" felt a little more like Sunbow. While I'll always prefer the original BAT design, the re-envisioning makes sense. No reason to limit a robot to the human standard.

"Episode 18: Union of the Snake" was even more Sunbow styled (one shot adventure). I like the involvement of the Crimson Twins; it felt like a larger plot development. Kept waiting for Duran Duran to make a cameo.

"Episode 19: The Anaconda Strain" was pretty good. I wonder if Airtight will remain a character or disappear like most of the other name-dropped Joes (Steeler, Barbecue...).

It seems like a setup for the next season. Maybe at the end of this season the renegades bring in solid evidence against Cobra to Hawk and he uses it to form the official GI Joe unit. He says something like "It'll take more than the six of us to bring down Cobra." Scarlett responds with "We've met a few friends along the way who can help..." Then we've got a full active roster for the next season. That's my guess.

I'm enjoying Renegades but I wish they'd get rid of the monsters and the super powers. My attention drifts away when that stuff comes on.

They included Dr. Venom in the show (As Dr. Monev), interesting.

Airtight being an actual doctor and having an adopted daughter was...a different angle.

Easy guess who Patient X is.

Then guess?
I don't think it's that easy as they have turned around a bit with the characters and backstory.

I loved how they made airtight suit fit into the story so well, I hope a figure is made out of that at some point - we are getting an Airtight classic figure soon enough, but a Renegades one wouldn't be bad.

Who has had part of their face covered since the show began? Cobra Commander! Plays into the Sunbow movie's mutation.

Black Ripcord returns!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though it was obvious right from the beginning that Ripcord wasn't dead, I'm still really disappointed that the writers would resort to such a cliche. Did he need amnesia too? I knew it was coming but all this time I was hoping the writers had some guts.

At least Duke got beat up again this episode. :D

I finally watched Episode 20, and I think there might actually be some plot movement! After 20 episodes!! Ripcord is a wild card, and Cobra has some purpose other than just "determined to rule the world". It's cliche, but c'mon, Wild Bill's tricked out helicopter was much worse.

Hmmm....

I think I will really appreciate the series, perhaps even more than I do already, when I can watch it all the way through, like on dvd.

Great episode. I liked it. A lot of personal interaction. Also, Ripcord's bio-viper abilities are quite useful, he treats them in a very down-to-earth way, and they don't dominate the story.

I thought Cobra La was stupid but giving Rip Cord super powers has set a new low for GI Joe.

Cobra appears on Young Justice...welll....not technically...but the similarities are strong.

Brilliant, action-packed season ending. The tank looked good!

I agree It really caught my attention. The other episodes were ok they were kinda well ok the joes escaped both flint and Cobra but managed to stop a cobra plot and no one noticed but this last one blew all the others out of the water pure action packed episode!!!!!

Hopefully not It was just getting interesting although maybe that may not be so bad if they can only make a spin off of Renegades where the Joes and Cobras battle each other like in the old serise but the Joes recruit all the people they had met in the Renegades series thoughout the whole serise and Cobra does the same and they just keep on battleing each other or something like this

I think you're right - I think the cartoon WILL be back for a second season, they Just won't call it "Renegades", because now that they have the external hard drive with the proof of Cobra's evil schemes, they won't be on the run anymore - they'll probably just have to rename it "GI Joe: Patriots" or something or other....
