Thanks to Coil Club member notpicard, we have a look at what could be a upcoming wave of Rise of Cobra figures. He's posted images (mirrored here) of Reactive Armor Ripcord, Agent Helix, Desert Ambush Viper Commando, PIT Commando and what was once identified as an Elite Viper, but is now a Cobra Eel?

These are pretty poor quality shots...
And oh god... the movie's got its own greenshirts... blech!

Eel looks boring, like most of the ROC troop builders.

The Viper looks some better in blue though.

Helix is becoming one of my new favorites despite myself knowing nothing about her. She seems very interesting to me.

That PIT Commando has some awesome gear.

Yeah, Helix looks pretty interesting.

Hard to tell from the quality, but it looks like they toned down the "eyeliner" on her with this packaged sample, which is a good thing IMO.

I noticed that too, it makes her look much better.

Now if they were only 3 3/4". ;)

Helix is from the upcoming video game, IIRC. Another female character is welcome, though why are they almost always "covert operations" specialists. I mean, the whole friggin team is supposed to be covert operations.

A "green shirt" is better an umpteenth Snake-Eyes variation.

The movie's color palette is making for some bland Cobra troops though.

Agreed with the exception of the Storm Shadow figures (and thats just my opinion), The movie Cobras are sucking bad!

I hope they do something with the Helix eyes. they were/are aweful! Great body sculpt though, lots of custom potental if the character sucks!

Well, from what I hear, women in the army aren't allowed to be in "active combat" (ie infantry), so they always come up with ways to make them active and in the battle without being truly infantry, hence the extensive use of Intelligence and Covert Ops for women on the Joe team.

Hrm, I'm getting tired of seeing big head figures. Ripcord has a big head, Hawk's head elsewhere looks big. It's like every figure with a real actor's head, the head is oversized; where as the vipers, etc, looks better proportioned.
