Summer Movies.....

Ok, there are a lot of new movies out....

Say what you will, but one that ticks me off is "Land of the Lost". First off, it's bad enough they had to take a fond memory of my childhood and make a stinking mockery out of it, but then they have to give the starring role to that @$$ clown, Will Ferrell! I HATE Will Ferrell. I wanna know who's butt in Hollywood he's kissing to make all these movies while his SNL partner Chris Kattan has 10 times the comic ability he does. If I wanna see a dopey Idiot, I have about 10 on each street corner here in California.

Sorry, had to get that off my Chest......who has seen Terminator Salvation? Did you like it?

Lol!!! :D

Will Ferrel is a one-trick pony, yet people keep gobbling his crap up...

As far as summer movies, I've only one thing to say.

Revenge is coming.

I saw T4 last night. It was pretty good, not great, but good... no complaints other than simple "logical physics" that you'll have to see for your self. Good acting, good plot, really good FX.

saw Terminator Salvation Thursday night and i will saw that it deserves none of the bad press it has gotten. After the piece of crap we got in the form of Rise of the Machines, this film completely turned that around. Instead of the whiney, emo bitch John Connor of T3 and arguably the Sarah Connor Chronicles (RIP =[), we have strong, confident, won't take no for an answer John Connor, which i really don't think has been seen since T2 when he was only 10 years old. This movie doesn't disappoint in my opinion: you have a good amount of action and one of the most compelling character actors I've seen in film as of late.

Once again, i've gone off like i'm Gene Shallot!

Will Farrel is interesting. No matter what movie hes in, he just plays the exact same character. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

This is a great movie summer though. StarTrek was AMAZING! Havent seen T4 yet, but will be catching that one soon. TF2 looks good, and i cant wait for G. I. Joe! Lots of smaller movies coming out too that look great!

I agree with you 100%

I seen Star Trek and being a big Star Trek fan I though it was spectacular

This year is a great geekfest of movie and tv. I'm so happy

Don't beat around the bush Frank, speak your mind!! :D :D

I wholeheartedly agree that Will Ferrell is a one-trick pony, but that trick is hilarious! However, I always enjoy the movies he has a hand in writing (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Semi-Pro) far more than the big studio movies that he simply gets cast in, such as Land of the Lost (although -- I do absolutely love Old School, which I don't think he helped to write at all).

Anyway, I've probably laughed more at Will Ferrell than any other comic actor currently working, with the possible exception of Steve Carell (which could explain why Anchorman is one of my favorite comedies of all time -- they're both in it! [along with the always-hilarious Paul Rudd]).

Aaanyway... Yes, I saw Terminator Salvation on Friday. I thought it was entertaining. I'm not a big Terminator person, so I really had no expectations going in. It was basically wall-to-wall action, with a few sparsely distributed "quiet" scenes. And the big supposedly-but-not-really secret cameo at the end was awesome -- possibly the best instance of CGI depicting a real person that I've ever seen!

I'm a big moviegoer. In the past few weeks, I've seen Wolverine, Star Trek (twice), and Terminator on their opening weekends. I missed Angels and Demons somehow. Looking at my calendar, I've got Up next weekend, followed in coming weeks by Land of the Lost and The Hangover (opening against one another!), Year One, Transformers, Public Enemies, Harry Potter, Funny People, G.I. Joe, and Inglourious Basterds. My summer's gonna be over before I know it...!

I like Ferrell......

Also, Salvation was badass Frank. Better then 3! (which isn't hard)
