Nekoman’s and Da Talent's "Spice Up Yo Summer” Photo Contest

As promised, here is the Joedios contest for all you guys itching to compete. The contest begins July 3rd, and ends August 3rd, so you guys have one month to come up with something and post it. The winner will get the awesome prize of a custom Stinger Jeep with LED lights by none other than the Joedios talent, Da Talent.

The contests theme is: Dioramas. Meaning, this contest really has no theme, other than your very best, most detailed scene. It can’t just be a really good, artistic, photograph. It’s got to be one with a great set up and details, plus being an artsy photograph. You’ll win with your own creativity.

The rules are as follows:

• Your picture must focus on GI Joe toys. That doesn’t mean you can’t use other military toys for your photo, just that it must be about GI Joe, and use mostly GI Joe figures. Anything goes as far as dio props, play sets and vehicles.
• To enter your picture/diorama, it must be linked to in this thread. If it’s not, it will not count for the contest unfortunately.
• No captions or text in or on your photo, let the photo tell your story. What you name your picture is all you get.
• Your picture must be new for the contest; it cannot be old or a repost.
• You may enter one diorama, but if you can’t capture it in a single photo, you may take multiple shots and post them as replies to your submission (but do not post any pictures in this thread! Just links.).
• Your actions and submission must apply to the normal Joedios rules as well.

3 – 6 Judges of my choosing will decide on the three best O-ring style and Modern Era style submissions. Then users will vote for the best photo from both sets, this is so that way no one can vote just for the figures they like. After that, another vote will take place to decide the grand winner of the two finalists.

And remember… Don’t be shy! Doing your best is what this is all about, and if you do that much you’ll at least have a chance.

Feel free to ask any questions.

A detailed diorama set? My bane. But, I've got a month; maybe I can get something going.

Looking for some personal clarification

Are the use of programs such as photo shop allowed? (ie. this or this )

This looks like fun, I hope I can come up with something. Is there a limit as to the number of submissions?

All editing programs are cool. Of course, your editing will be judged as well, but you can certainly use it.

Likewise, as was stated in the rules, you may make one dio to submit, but you can also post a few different takes on it should you feel it can't be captured just with one shot. It has to be the same thing more or less, but if you can't fit your whole set up in one shot, you can take a few extras.

Glad you guys are interested!

I am down on this. You know I can't resist a set build-off-a-thon-apalooza.

can I use my 1/6er's for this or does it have to be o-ring or 25th ?
