Paint to use??

Hey Guys!!

I can't believe the custom work I've seen on this site. You guys rock!! I have a few vehicles I'd like to paint. Preferably army green, gray or black. What kind of paint and/or brand do you suggest. Keep up the awesome work!!

For vehicles I'd go with Krylon Fusion... there's also one for military green thats called Krylon Camouflage Green. They also have grey and black in the Camouflage cans.. easily gotten at most Wal-Marts. which is what I used on both of these...

Yeah Brushed on weathering watered down rust effects so much easier with acrylics. Krylon fusion works great too binds tot he plastic nicely. ;)

and testors model masters and most importantly thin your paints and make sure they are acrylic.

For the base rogue and flats are right krylon fusion, if you need an oil base primer for like resin casts or what not rustoleuom make a good primer. I would clean the hell out of the vehicle and then paint it with the krylon fusion. I prefer vajello now adays especially if you want a professional look to stuff. it also binds to plastic its fantastic! Testors dries out to easily, i buy a color use it once or twice and come back in three weeks and its dry. apple barrel is good for weathering like flats said and or back ground back drops for large scale things. I like graphite pencils for metal look, or krylon makes awesome paint markers the silver is fantastic for weathered metal. I mainly air brush my vehicles as well, the brush strokes n vehicles are a turn off for mi and you can get it without the strokes i just prefer to work fast. hope this helps plus all the other awesome info everyone chipped in!

here are some vehicles ive done using all the stuff i talked about everything had an under coat of fusion.
