Street Fighter Movie
Nightfighter Guile
Night Recon Commando Circa 1994 Street Fighter has been part of G.I. Joe history since the early 90s. They first started off as various GI Joe and Ninja Force sculpts with retooled heads. They either included a spring action missile launcher or a action attack feature. In 1994 with the Street Fighter movie in theaters and G.I. Joe fading into the shadows Hasbro released a set of figures and vehicles using older Joe and Cobra molds with more movie accurate head sculpts of action star Jean Claude Van. Several versions of Colonel Guile were released in different camouflage patterns and environmental uniforms taken from several different G.I. Joe molds. Here we have Nightfighter Guile who is basically a 1991 Snake Eyes body with a retooled head. He includes the same sub machine gun and katana that came with the 91 Snake Eyes as well as a battle stand, helmet and bow and arrow launcher. The helmet is actually that of the DEF figure Bullet Proof and the Col. Guile head may in fact be a retooled Bullet Proof head sculpt. I actually never even heard of these figures till recently and couldn't resist picking a few up. They are not too expensive being extremely hard to find and will look great on a shelf loose or unopened. |
Rock Trooper Guile
Mountain Assault Specialist Circa 1994 Rock Trooper Guile was another retooled G.I. Joe figure of the Street Fighter movie line. Basically a repaint of the 1991 Dusty body this new Guild figure is given some funky camouflage and cool gear. His gear includes a Backpack, rifle, rocket launcher, 2 rockets, Hawk and battle stand. His gear is a mixed bag of different G.I. Joe accessories from different years. The pack is also from the 1991 Dusty, his rifle is from the 1991 Snow Serpent and the Hawk is from the 1987 Raptor figure. The Missile Launcher and rockets are from a 1994 Flint. |
Navy Seal Guile
Underwater Attack Commando Circa 1994 Navy Seal Guile is the next figure in the Street Figure movie series. He is a repainted 1992 Wet Suit body that includes a huge squirt cannon commonly included with the Eco Warriors. He also includes Wet Suit's diving helmet and fins. Due to the new head sculpt the diving helmet doesn't fit Guile very well but will will at least stay on his head. His other accessories include a spear gun from the 1992 Cobra Eel and a barracuda fish from the 1990 Undertow figure. |
Paratrooper Guile
Air Assault Trooper Circa 1994 Paratrooper Guile is a very sought after figure either due to his figure sculpt or his gear. Paratrooper Guile is a 1992 Battle Copter Ace body which includes his helmet and mask. Like Navy Seal Guile his helmet doesn't fit the new Guile head sculpt very well. He includes 1991 Big Ben's machine gun and a parachute pack with parachute. A rubber belt strap secures the figure to the backpack to prevent breakage of the peg. Next to the Rock Trooper Guile this is one of my favorite Street Fighter movie figures. |
Street Striker
Circa 1994 The Street Striker is Guiles vehicle of choice in the Street Fighter Movie toy line. Basically a repainted Vamp Mark II that has been updated for a more 1990s feel. The Street Striker features rolling wheels, opening gull wing doors, removable canopy and 2 removable gas cans. It also includes a rotating and elevating missile launcher with four removable missiles with removable spring action rocket launcher. The Street Striker holds two figures and no figure included. |
I have a Navy SEAL guile that came as part of a big lot a few years ago. I think he's complete. His black helmet unfortunately is cracked, probably as a result of what you already explained here - his head is just too damn big for his headgear. I think a good custom snake eyes could be made from night fighter guile.

Your absolutely right Marty. I use the Night Fighter Guile as Snake Eyes too and the Mortal Kombat Lou Kang as Storm Shadow. I'll be reviewing Mortal Kombat figures very soon. |
