help!!
hey, can anyone help me get a hold of these kind of troops?http://www.yojoe.com/action/04/cobratrooper.shtml
trade only!! |
You might as well just find one (or a set) of the relatively new Cobra Night Watch figures; they're almost exactly the same figure and the colors are a lot less obnoxious.

You're f-ed, kid. Cobra blueshirts, be they from the Infantry 6-pack or from the Comic Packs, are in high demand and will cost you a pretty penny (at least 10$ per figure). Since you said you're a bargain hunter, you're not really going to find any bargains for these guys... |

Well two years ago I was in the same situation as him, trying to get a good Joe collection started... I had a list that was basically asking for any versions of the Cobra Troopers and Officers... I didn't get anyone offering me any. I ended up buying two Blueshirt 6-packs, one from GIJoeHQ and one from ebay, and paying quite a bit for both of them. Since he says "trade only", I very much doubt he'll have any takers. |
Jay's totally right. It ain't easy to army build any kind of Blueshirt these days, even the Night Watch. Glad I'm a Viper fan :-) YAY Viper Pit!

I like both blueshirts and Vipers. I'm debating selling all my JvC/ST Vipers and replacing them with Viper Pits... but I hear nothing but bad things about crotches popping off, and apparently the legs are hard to pose too... Since you're a Viper fan, perhaps you can advise me? |
Someone on JBL suggested cutting/sanding down the front piece on the crotch ( ); I did that to my set, and it improved their mobility immensely (you have to take off a pretty good chunk of plastic, but it's not noticable once the figure is back together). Out of the box they're basically unusable.
Their heads are also problematic; there's a tab in the back of the torso, right in the collar, that kills any hope of posing. Once again, you can sand or cut the tab off; the head doesn't end up too loose, but if you get it to the point where it's fully posable, it's definitely not as tight as a new figure should be. They really screwed the pooch on the Viper Pit figures, but with a little work they can be decent. |
So once the crotch is sanded down, the Viper Pit Vipers can achieve the same level of leg movement as v1 Vipers and post-97 Vipers?
