I've been using Tamiya acrylic paint myself, but do encounter chipping. I do sanding and that has mixed results, some figures hardly chip some figures do chip. I wanted to paint weapons too, but the handles always get worn away, I suppose Enamel would probably be better for that? A black handled Steyr AUG just doesn't look right to me
