That's too bad, really. I like this show. Good stories, decent animation. And lots and lots and lots of little easter eggs for the fans.
Like the hat of Wild Bill in the Knockoffs episode. It's not his usual western hat worn by every single previous Wild Bill incarnation, no, it's a blue version of Recondo's hat. Nobody is going to convince me that that is not a reference to the Tiger Force Wild Bill/Recondo mix-up, back in the vintage day.
Less far-fetched, I seem to remember in one of the previous episodes they went to a little town called Breckinridge. An obvious reference to one of Marvel's dead Joes, Thunder, right ?
Even lesser far-fetched, the title of this episode itself. Nobody's going to refer to human doppelgängers as knockoffs. Except if the humans are GIJoes and knockoffs is the usual term for other-brand-duplicates of GIJoe toys.
Ah, good show, good show. Food for fanboys.
