Would you pre-order "collector specialized" 7 pack?
ok saw this over at JoeCustoms so I'd thought I'd post it over here and get some additional thoughts....

we came up with an Idea:
If Hasbro decided to make us EXACTLY what we want in a figure, lest say for example, a 7 pack of Female Vipers, at a lower production number, and took PRE ORDERS from fans.
But because of the exclusive direct to fans process the price would be slightly larger, lets say 60 bucks instead of the 45 7 pack price. Similar to how Sideshow pre orders their figures.
Would you buy one? or several?

Though just remember this would be Hasbro doing it so no o-ringed figures.

The original author is talking with someone from Hasbro about this. Imagine if Hasbro said they were going to make a set of six or seven female Vipers, would you buy it after they give you the price point, etc. If 10,000 people say they'll buy it and pay, Hasbro will make 10,000 sets for those people only. If only 1,000 people will buy, Hasbro wouldn't make the set.

I like the idea but for me, only O-rings. Just like I think the idea that the club is going to have the subcribers figures is cool. But as 25th style, they just don't appeal to me much. I really wish they did, but as soon as 25th was dropped for ROC, I lost all my interst the style.

yea but there's also the option of other figures...I know for one I wouldn't buy 7 all female vipers... now if it was mixed range of female viper types or female soldiers then yes...
Another person even mentioned about the female figures that haven't been produced yet....Jinx, Cover Girl that looked more like the orig, Dr. Knox, etc.
1 Viper
1 blueshirt soldier
1 Alley Viper
1 Eel
1 Crimson Guard
1 Range Viper (Evey!)
1 Tele-Viper
was a list another person gave with me saying Strato-viper instead of the female Alley Viper.
They also said that Hasbro does visit all the Joe sites for ideas and such.

While I wouldn't buy them, it's an interesting idea. Almost like Hasbro taking MC back in-house. Lower production runs of specialized figures at a premium price. Honestly, I like the idea. Just throw me a bone and issue an '86 mold BAT multipack!

The idea is intriguing, although I would be more inclined to purchase a variety pack. Say a pack of blue shirts that have a couple of fems in them, or a pack of GI Joe specialists that contain a couple of new or unproduced females

My own personal troop building would be better suited with a six pack of similar figures, rather than a variety pack. I'd troop build Blue Shirts and Vipers, but don't have use for Alley Vipers or Range Vipers., that's not to say I wouldn't buy the variety pack though, I could just as easily trade away the ones I don't want. I'm sure Dan-o would take them, he takes everything.
Along with a troop builder pack, it be nice to get a named character pack as well with PoC versions of Scarlett, Cover Girl, Lady Jaye and Jinx with maybe a couple Green Shirt females. Then a Female Cobra set with Baroness, Zarana, Vypra and a couple female blue shirts.
I'd also prefer the female troopers to resemble their male counterparts, rather than have them in some kind of overly revealing tight leather and spade outfit. I like the female form as much as the next red blooded heterosexual male, but you just don't see armies these days where the men are head to toe camo and body armor and the ladies are wearing Daisy Duke shorts and tube tops. When the RoC Baronesses came out and everyone started popping various female heads on them and calling them the Baroness's elite squad of killer mercenary women, it was cool, but got old. I'd rather see a female trooper in the same blue uniform the guys are wearing just more feminine looking.
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROGUETIGER!

I would have to say it all depends on the mold and articulation. If the figures were based on the PoC/25th line with a good mold and good articulation, then I would buy multiples regardless of the figure (viper or trooper) and I wouldn't be too concerned with the price.
