Fisher Price DINO RIDERS toyline!!!
I've never bought a Fisher Price toy in my life. I tend to stay away from toys that are way too kiddie such as Fisher Price. However, when I saw these Imaginext toys at my local store, I was immediately hooked. They remind me of Dino Riders. Interestingly enough, I never had any of the Dino Riders toys and didn't see the cartoon until a couple weeks ago (thank you YouTube). These Fisher Price toys are truly amazing works of art. Not only do the dinosaurs feature amazing paint jobs, details, and articulation but most of them have opening mouths and tons of action features. I love the cartoonish look of these dinosaurs! Best of all, the armor can be completely removed even on the Mega T-Rex! In my opinion, the dinosaurs have more personality and are more interesting than their human counterparts.
The Mega T-Rex is HUGE and is the only toy that features motorized action and comes with a DVD. I tested out the motorized action of the T-Rex and he thrashes, his arms and neck movie, his jaws open, and he roars! I can only wonder what the DVD contains. Maybe an animated cartoon or a super cool stop motion animation commercial. Who knows? It's rather disappointing that these toys don't have a proper name like "Dino Riders". They all share the same name, "Imaginext". I would love to buy these Fisher Price toys but right now, I find them too be way too expensive. The Raptor set for example sells for $10! I'm going to wait for a price reduction or maybe these will be on clearance.
The box makes no mention of who the good guys and bad guys are. However, I think it's kind of straightforward. The good guys are the herbivore dinosaurs: Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, Pterodactyl, and Apatosaurus. There is also a Mech Suit (see box art) that I couldn't find in the store. The bad guys are the carnivorous dinosaurs: Raptor and Mega T-Rex. The individual figures to the best of my knowledge don't have their own respective names. I would love to own these Fisher Price Dino Riders toys because I love them and I would love to army build them! If the price stays the same, I will have to shell out a couple hundred dollars to own the entire collection and duplicate sets for army building purposes, MWAHAHAHA!

I saw the t Rex and thought it might be cool with some warpaint and whatnot. I find myself looking at this toyline as a whole while perusing for joes and dio stuff. Their airplanes look cool and they have a mech base that would work with joes with some mods. Makes me glad I dont have to share toy money with some kid
