IIRC, they were said to have a production run of 5000 each and were only available from online stores. But they are not nearly as rare as some collectors and ebay sellers would have you believe, especially loose without accessories.

It seems more were made that never got packaged, along with a LOT of 2000-2006 era figures. Sellers in Asian have them loose for fairly cheap at times. Downside is the sellers often won't ship to Italy due to Italy's strict import laws on toys.

NO shipping to Italy whatsoever. This is due new laws made by the Italian government regarding toys.

Sellers may vary on that policy, though.

Sidetrack Auction

If You or other friends find them, let me know, please. Why in the auction is written 1993 if he is from 2002!?

If I had known I had the lifeline a few months ago, I got rid of him cause, well, he kind of sucked.

Anyway these were exclusive to Smalljoes.com. Not sure about the 5000 count but they were very limited. The Serpantor from that wave is my favorite though. But most of the others are kind of bland. Tomax and Xamot are virtually unchanged from thier orginals. Shipwreck was teh SEAL version anyway and Sidetrack was just a bland figure. Sideswip was really just a repaint of Stretcher (whom I liked the oringal much better anyway) with a different head. Lifeline was a rp of the Battle Corps with a different head. Again really these weren't as cool as we thought at the time.

They weren't exclusive to smalljoes. SJ would like you to think that, but they really aren't that high up on the foodchain. You could get them at EE or BigBad.

The seller is unaware of the release date of the toy. He or she is going by the copyright date that is on the figure's leg or waist. The action figure reuses a figure mold from 1993. Only the heads of Sideswipe, Lifeline and Sidetrack were new. The bodies were originally used for Stretcher (1990), Battle Corps Lifeline (1993 or 1994) and Battles Corps Stalker (1993 or 1994).
