Default Oh My God!!!

i just got the GI Joe vs the Transformers black horizon issues and i wanted to read all the other DD's GI Joe vs transformers first. can you believe that they had snake eyes do a smurfing jedi mind trick on a freaking decepticon. i mean come the freak on, its a blanking robot. this has nothing to do with joe dios, but i had to vent just how stupid this was somewhere.

i was dissapointed in this book as well, being a fan of the artist i was hoping for the andrew wildman from the marvel issues and these just felt really rushed.

It was rushed -- He mentioned it when I interviewed him a couple of months ago (see www.gijoeuk.com for the full interview in the blog). It was originally going to be a 4-issue series and then Hasbro came to them and said they weren't allowed to do anything in 2007 that didn't have the movie version of the TFs in. So rather than scrap the comic, it was quickly changed to 2, larger-sized issues and Wildman had to get them done to see print by the end of 2006.

It's a shame, as it was quite special to see him drawing Joes AND Transformers again.

man, that definatly explains it, i would still love to see him draw the joes again not rushed, i think one of the new special missions issues would be great for redemption have him draw the entire issue 48pgs devils due.

He basically said that he'd be happy to draw Joes again, so we should start pestering DDP to see it happen! He's done some Transformers stuff recently, including a great exclusive cover of the Movie Prequel issue 3 for the UK Comics Expo and I'd really love to see him do Joes while being allowed to take his time. And if they could get Stephen Baskerville to ink him again, that'd be the icing on the cake!

bringing back old teams would be great. it seems comic industries would realize this. its like the trio of lee, williams and clearmont.
