Predators Thoughts
I recently rented Predators, starring Adrien Brody.
It's the second actual sequel to Predator (I say actual because I still will not count AVP as a sequel).
The movie has pretty awesome FX, a decent enough story, and enough Predator references to shake a stick at!
I personally wish that they could of found someone a bit bigger then Brody.
What are my fellow Joedioers opinions?

Sorry, but I think Predator 2 is the sequel Imo it hangs with the 1st one. The action is kicked off at the very begging of the movie and keeps rolling threw out!!!
Plus we got Danny Glover the best villian in a movie since Darth Vader( Mista in The Color Purple).
I enjoyed AVP because they used alot of reference from the AVP books!!!
The scene when the young Pred jumps you and 360 spear jabs the Alien Queen in the face........ Priceless!!!

The concept was sound, but the acting was sub par. What a waste of Laurence Fishburne. I liked the Mechanical Falcon, that was a unique Idea and the concept of two tribes of Predators at war was awesome, but again they wasted too much time on piss poor acting that they could have spent elaborating on different tribes.
All in all, it was a good movie....not great, just good!

I totally enjoyed the movie, I thought it was a credit to the franchise. The concept of a disparate group of soldiers, mercenaries, cartel/mob enforcers and a serial killer being hunted by a different race of Predators on some game preserve planet , was very cool. Also the beef between the 2 different Predators was great. I just think Fishburne was a bit miscast in that role , if he was supposed to have survived a few seasons of the hunts then he should have looked like Tom Hanks when he got off that island in Castaway---lean and mean.
