Toys Lost in Action
I am curious to see if I am the only one that has come back with less troops or equipment than when I started. Some of my old desert scenes I took in a wash were good but the small compliment of vipers that I used were minus about 3 when I got home. Even a trip back proved unsuccessful. My latest Afrika Korps pic caused a hat to go missing. That was taken in my backyard of all places and I still cannot find it.
Has anyone else lost or had damage to anything in the course of taking your pics?

I've had a few accessories go missing, but never lost for good. Ages ago I lost gung ho's backpack in the yard and had to search for it. Also had kwinn's necklace fall off my ghostbear custom while at another location. Don't know how we found it amongst all those dead leaves. Last summer while taking predator pics my jungle hunter fell out of the tree and his foot came off. Took almost 20 minutes to find the darned thing. Luckily nothing broke.

I keep my figures organized in tackle boxes and wrapped individually in ziplocs with their respective accesories. Or what's left of them. I really don't sweat the loss too much anymore. Good thing there are companies like Marauder, etc. to buy weapons and accesories from if you ever needed more.

The only figures I lost outside was when I was about 10 years old and left several Joe's behind at my Grand parents mountain house. When I returned several weeks later some of the figures had been "chewed up" by a chipmunk or raccoon

Did you keep them anyway? Battle scars and damage, dude.
They'd be like Veterans of an Unspeakable War or something...

More like a monster attack...
Sure. I kept the ones that were not mauled to the point of not able to ID the remains. My 1982 Scarlet and 1988 Storm Shadow were spared surprisingly. It appeared the animal or whatever it was had a taste only for Cobra
