Hurricane Irene
Hopefully all of you out there are doing okay through this! We just had 6 inches of water in our basement here in Central New York & our basement has never flooded for us before. I bailed out 400 gallons of water before I realized I wasn't gonna win that way - went to the hardware store and droped $168 on a sump pump - worth it's weight in gold it was - so 7 hours of wet work later I'm done (I hope! - Knock on wood).
But I guess were lucky if that's all it amounts too - no fatalities or injuries even (again, knock on wood).
God bless you all.

We got through it pretty much unscathed
we just lost the electricity and some small tree debris
we finally got the electricity back a few hours ago
