Sneak Peak and Falcon.

On my 7th birthday my uncle gave me one of those plastic Army trucks that said "US Convoy" on the side. You used to be able to buy them at pretty much any store that sold toys. They were designed so that they could fit Joes but I didn't own any.

Sometime soon after my dad took my brother and I to I believe it was called "Children's Palace" to buy some. It was basically a poor man's Toys R Us. We were told we could pick two figures or items of equal value. This was 1987.

My brother picked Fast Draw and the Anti-Aircraft Action Pack since the artwork showed Fast Draw using it.

I initially picked Sneak Peak and Psyche Out but as I left the isle I discovered an end cap with more Joes. I quickly spotted a Falcon and put Psyche Out back on the shelf. I was only barely familiar with G.I. Joe and knew that there was a main character on the show who wore a beret so I basically assumed Falcon was Flint. It wasn't until we had left the store that I realized that someone had tore Falcon's package open and was thus missing all of his accessories.

Oddly enough Sneak Peak and Falcon would be packaged together later as part of Night Force.

That's cool (all except the part about Falcons accessories being stolen). I always like hearing these recounts- good memory. You made the right choice F was cooler than that PO IMO, I had 87 PO and in hindsight I shoulda waited a year and got the NF version of him.

The first joe I remember having is a Straight Arm Rock n Roll. Not 100% that it was my first but it is the one I remember playing with first.
