There's never been any doubt about that!

Cobra Commander looks really similar to the Grand Wizard, that's not really something you want to be associated with when your trying to make your brand the most visible it'll be in a long time.

This isn't PC facism, this is going "well do we want our film and toyline to be scrutinized by civil rights groups, and be embraced by hate groups?" Anyone with a brain would say "No"

Good point. However, isn't that taking it a little too far in the scrutiny department? I mean it's like in the '80's when my friends and I were into heavy metal. None of us would have ever thought about playing records backwards to look for satanic messages, until a group of religious zealots did it on a talk show. Then we ALL went out and bought copies of "Stairway to Heaven" just to see if it was real. None of us were Satanists...or even closet satanists, and even if we were, heavy metal didn't do it to us! Honestly, I don't think 99% of the people out here wouldn't have thought about that if they had not said something! It's pretty pathetic that people go out of their way to look for links to racism, facism and nazism in minor details like that!

The two movies I mentioned Blatently drew attention to the "nazi" link by their shows of ceremony with banners of red and black and black high collared uniforms with the knee high riding type boots.

Know my fear? The pacifists trying to get the movie banned because it glorifies war.....just wait...it's coming!!!

What worries me is that with all this political correctness going on the young kids growing up are not going to learn to assosiate facist/ku-klux clan style of clothing with evil before they are teenagers and learn about them in school. The decision to make Cobra a regular criminal/mercenary organization is not only boring it benefits nobody but the facists themselves.

"Onccccccccccce wassssssss a man...sssssssssssssssss"

G.I. Joe is pretend. I like pretend. It is an escape from all the nuttiness in the real world. I prefer comics and cartoons to live action stuff that blurs the line between pretend and reality.

I'm not concerned that my children will grow up and try to glorify evil groups. I am responsible for what they see and how I explain to them reality versus pretend.
I am concerned that they think they can jump motorcycles over (or through) moving trains and buses because they saw it on TV or a movie.

Gravity is an equal opportunity offender, and it rarely offers "do-overs."

Worst case scenario, the movie tanks, the toys end up on clearance, and Hasbro shelves the franchise.

When is the Resolute cartoon coming out?
