This is not perfect, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. My sons refer to the bio-viper experiment things as the "Goo" guys.
Action for the kids and subtle things for the adults. Like the Cobra rep giving two kids an apple is a biblical allusion to the serpent in the garden of Eden.

My take on it is that it is a lot better than I expected.
The characters are roughly the same. I like the voices, everybody has a good one and there are no over the top accents or anything like that.
The animation is OK, but then again, I've been watching it on a not very strong connection, so it gets a bit choppy sometimes. I have a hard time enjoying an animated show, no matter how good it is, if the animation sucks.
So far the story seems pretty decent; starting off, reinventing the main plot, but still enjoyable.
The animation style isn't as annoying as I thought it might be. Not quite on par with Resolute, but far better than any of those stupid kiddie shows like Pokemon or Yugioh.
I do think it's funny how everybody got their nick names in the show.
Over all, I like it and am just happy there's a Joe 'toon back on the air.
Roadblock needs to loose the mutton chops.

I finally watched all the episodes so far and it's decent, despite the occasional corniness or over the top action scene. I liked how Bludd's car chase scene was reminiscent of Mad Max. Shop Smart, Shop SSS Market. lol its good enough to keep watching.

I tried with it, gave it 5 eps but it is really horrid. THe designs are terrible and the stories are not much better. Just too horrid for me to keep going with, I'm done, the ninja eps were all I could stand. I gave it a decent shot but it just is that bad.

It's already clear where the series has gone wrong. Snake-Eyes should've died in the first episode and Ripcord should've lived and starred in a two-parter.

Somthing kinda cool I just discovered about the voice actors for this show. Tunnel Rat is actually voiced by and Asian guy from New York, Roadblock is voiced by a big black dude, Baroness is voiced by an Eastern European woman, Lady Jay is voiced by a Latina.
I love voice actors. I study their voices and practice my own differing dilects and ways of speaking. Futurama's Dr. Zoidberg is one of my favorite to do. I love to hear an animated voice and try to figure out f I know the actor. In the 80, this was easy. It was either Michael Bell or Frank Welker. Period. Arthur Burghart, Mary McDonald-Lewis, BJ Ward...these were all pseudonames for Frank Welker and Michael Bell so they could fill up the cast card in the closing credits. Today 50% of everything is done by Maurice Lamarsche, Dave Herman or Frank Welker. The other 50% is done by John DiMaggio. Maybe 40/60 for DiMaggio.
I like that when it comes to ethnic characters, that actors of that ethnicity are used for their voices. Even when a person is born and raised speaking the American dialect of English, there are still certain enflections and tones accociated with certain ethnic groups and to use those actors for those roles really helps to sell the character to me.
