I know I'm pretty much a lurker around here, but Black Major told me what happened and it took me a day to work up the nerve to come here and see what's been said. I'm reacting the same way a lot of people here are, even fireflyed a little bit. There's a lot of great work here that keeps me interested in Joe and Outrider's was definitely a master of his digital craft. But I have to say, some of the images you all have posted to honor of him would make him proud.

when people pass away i try to think about what Einstein said about energy =mass and the other way around and that energy never dissipates it just changes form.
This goes for Outrider aswell.
we dont leave anyone behind they just change form.
I will light a candle tonight for him.

At this point all I can do is echo everyones' sentiments on this sad loss to the Joe community and as a human being too. Outrider will be missed for sure, he did so much for all of us and asked for nothing in return. Rest in peace now Craig, you more than deserve it.

Sometimes words are difficult to find.
Outrider's photo skills were/are/is/always will be amazing. His aerial shots are flawless. Every single picture was exectued with care, precision and an attention to detail.
If his skills continue to encourage and inspire others to strive for those same skills, then his legacy will endure.
Forever missed, but never forgotten.

My Prayers go out to you Deanne & the rest of the Family..Craig was a Very Talented & Kind Man,what he did in our Hobby was inspire everyone who came in contact with him and his work. And I know his work will go one inspiring people in our Hobby for Years to come, and I know that I can speak for everyone of us that was a witness of the Great Outrider Period on here & Flickr,we all were VERY Lucky to have been a Part of it.We all witnessed something Great, and Man with a Talent for making Joe's come to life. That's a skill that you either have or you don't,and as we all know Craig-Outrider sure HAD IT!! I'm so glad we still have his Work to hold on to a piece of him by,I know I'll continue to be Inspired by it until the Day I finally get to meet the Great Outrider. There's no doubt Our Hobby lost one of it's Best, and we all lost a Great Friend...Rest in Peace Craig...You will be Greatly Missed...

Deanne,
My condolences to you and your family. Craig will greatly missed around here. I always considered my pics were incomplete without a response from him. He was an inspiration to us all, he will live on in all of us.
Best Wishes
Michael

Outrider's New Journey
To Deanne you have my sincerest condolescences. Today was a depressing day. I thought about Craig and the wonderful impact he made here. When people say he is a legend they are right. He was an inspiration to all of us here. He was the best!!. I will miss him; but I shall and never will forget the wonderful gift to the world he was!!!! Russ Spencer

Deanne,
May you be comforted in this time of loss. Thankfully you were able to know that it was coming and were able to make the most of his time left.
Much love and prayers.
