I went by Target yesterday and was shocked to find the entire latest wave of Joes, with the exception of Matt Trakker! So I hurriedly grabbed Cobra Flint, the Eel, "Pilot Scarlett," Airborne, and Zartan! I then came straight home and cancelled my Big Bad Toy Store order. This is probably the first time in almost a year that I've found new Joes first (or even at all) at retail -- it was pretty exciting!

Saturday TRU had a sale marking the senior 3-packs down to 8.99 from 14.99, so I stocked up and got the Iron Grens, Sea Command, Air Command, Joe Command, and Cobra Command... they didn't have any Crimson Command. The best part is since I work there I got an even better "sale" price.

I got Tracker and EEL this morning. Found TF FLint, Python Cobra Officer (so strange Hasbro would do an all black soldier with pythonic print???), IG Destro and, well, EVERYONE's seen JetPackDuke. Before you freak on the fact that I bought a JetPackDuka, I am slowly rebuilding an MOC collection. And I have slots for TF (have), JetPackDuke (have) and a v1 single-pack Duke (gotta order MOC).

I have slots for SE v1 and v2. I have v3 and Polaric SE.

And how much do I spend a month? Frak if I know. I try to... Everything's 20% off and I been finding an additional 10% off (that's, unfortunately, NOT 30% off). So I been grabbing the peg warmers. I'll prolly hook up with Wild Bill (v1), Bazooka and Spirit next week. I try and grab stuff that I dont' find often. Like IG Destro and the PYthonic Officer. Even TF FLint is hard to find, yah?

Now if I could find 1 more Viper and 1 more HISS Driver... Yub nub!

Managed to do a deal with a seller on eBay for a Bullhorn from this year's con. I've been after one since the con, and this was the first seller I'd found who was willing to separate Bullhorn and the vehicle (which I didn't want).

I know its not Joe related, but it is for my camera. I just ordered a wide angle, a super macro and tele-photo lens plus UV, polarized & anti-haze filters. I want to do outdoor shots without alot of glare on my figures. Can't wait!!!! :D

I've got another non-Joe related one... I received a package a couple of days ago containing the new Sota Street Fighter figures -- E. Honda, Dahlsim, and Zangief (and R. Mika, but I didn't bother to open her). This was especially exciting because delays plagued this wave forever, and it seemed like they'd never come out (I pre-ordered them over two years ago!).

But now my collection of the original 12 "world warriors" is finally complete! If Sota never makes another S.F. figure again, I can at least be content with that.

The only thing GI Joe I got was some accessory packs for my 12" AT Land Adventurer. I got a Transformers universe Ironhide and G1 Optimus Prime (something I always wanted but would not buy for myself, thanks Julie!). Got a Swiss Army Knife to replace the one the Secret Service took from me when we went to a Joe Biden rally in October. And this super cool portable digital picture frame, I can proof shots with it when I am away from my computer. The best present is yet to come - later when that damned Christmas Story 24 hr marathon is over! I have been listening to this stupid waste of celluloid since yesterday. If I hear "reck the ralls with ralls of rallry" one more time I am gonna pull what is left of my hair out!

With the way my family works, usually only the kids get gifts. I don't usually get anything anymore. Just a lil tid bit here and there. But I SUPPOSE cuz I have Thomas, I get cash? The NW faced a lot of snowstorms. That killed the retailers in that the snow kept people from getting out. We aren't like Shane or Phil who might have a decent system for snow removal. People have been trapped at home for a week or so; ever since the snow started coming down OVER a week ago.

With that in mind, I did get a bunch of cash. :D Most of it is actually for Thomas.

I bought (with other cash), Hot Shots Golf OpenTee2 for the PSP as well as 4 25A Vipers. And of course, beer to get thru this week at my parents. From Kody, I got a Cobra Bazooka Solja (which I hadn't planned on buying!) and a 3-pack of these dinky, mini lil wrasslers (Big DaddyV, Chavo and Shelton Benjamin). THOSE were supposed to be a joke but I can't help but play with them!

With the new cash and HOPEFULLY the bank is open tomorrow, I'm gonna try and grab the OTHER 4 Vipers that were at the store!

I got a BAT and a CG/Scarface comic pack. But the best present was a custom tshirt that my wife had made for me at a tshirt shop. It has design that the shirt is ripped in the top left corner of the shirt and what is showing is part of the Arashikage clan symbol, and and on the back is the picture of stormshadow and snake eyes with their swords standing back to back. I Love My Wife. :D

My latest order from them was a little delayed. I usually get it in about 7-10 days. This one took two weeks. I think it's just the Holiday mail rush.

I finally found Blowtorch today. They had all the Resolute figures too (looked like a fresh case had just been opened), but those guys aren't my cup of tea (though Cobra Commander is pretty neat).

I like Blowtorch's head -- I was thinking it would make a better Ace than the head Ace came with. Unfortunately, it sits way too low on Ace's neck peg, so it would need some modding to work right.

I just got a "Dragon Fortress" off Ebay. It's basically a "Toxolab" (which I have been trying like mad to get lately!!!) in different colors! nothing a little paint and customizing won't cure! Ok, im not sure where i could have placed this information. I figured this place would be pretty cool since everyone tends to read this thread. I recently purchased this "Desert Patrol Light Strike Vehicle" from Target today. This is the first I have seen from this company. Freedom Ops Network.

I sent them quite a long e-mail with some ideas I had for future vehicles and accessories. I included a V-22 Osprey,C-130. and a C-17. Since these would be great aircraft to use in HALO ops,and troop/cargo transport photos. Plus it wold be awesome to have an aircraft that big!! I also included the F-15E, F-16, A-10, F-18, Ch-47,Apache,Little Bird, Cobra, Huey, Blackhawk helicopters and a few other aircraft. I also advised them to take a look at our site to get an idea of what the market is needing and how much we spend yearly on dio props,vehicles and figures. I told them if they needed any help in what is hot in the 3 3/4 and 4in action figure area, myself and any of the folks on joedios would be more than happy to help. I just hope that for once a company will listen to its consumers needs and wants and produce some results. I have placed the photos in the latest reviews section of the DPLSV.

I found Transformers Classics/Universe Cyclonus and Hound on my way home from work a couple of days ago! Hound is a good, solid Transformer, and looks great with the rest of my Autobots -- but he's nothing compared with Cyclonus, who is one of the best Transformers I've ever owned! Sculpt, paint, transformation, proportions, poseability -- all are top-notch!

Ok, not GI Joe stuff, but I just "rounded out" my flight on Marine Corps Helicopters. So Far I have flown in a BlackHawk, a CH-47, a Huey and yesterday, I FINALLY got to ride on a CH-53. Man, those things are LOUD! I just missed flying on an Osprey! :( No worries...I got 3 years left to do it! ;)

I finally found the Cobra diver today! He's a really cool figure, and now I have the heavy water element for my MASS Device. I also saw Tripwire, but since I already bought the comic pack with him, I just can't bring myself to buy the whole figure just for the last element... So I guess my MASS Device will remain eternally incomplete...

I also got Transformers Classics/Universe Smokescreen! I didn't even know he was out until I saw him in the store today!

Only thing that I don't like about that Falcon from pictures I have seen are the restrained leg mobility. Munitia looks like a great character and cool acessories.

The first volume of IDWs reprinting of the original Marvel comics 1-10 are out, called Classic GI Joe.

The good news is I did a side-by-side comparison of the IDW and Marvel versions and the IDW printing is slightly better. The line work is crisper and the color has no grain. It's also $5 US cheaper than the Marvel trade paper back.

This is a real treat for me because I'm missing random issues from 1-30 of the original run. New classic GI Joe!

Raided Target and three Walmarts and a Joe carrying supermarket and finally found 1 resolute trooper, 3 paravipers, and two comic packs with shockwave and red/cyborg destro. Also looted: gung-ho, scarlet (finally not a comic pack version) duke (avoided buying him until now), roadblock, 3 WWII german soldiers Team Bravo or something from Target.

Bought all the remaining Indiana Jones (single figures) arabs (x20) , dr jones (x6), that russian girl (x4).. irina something.., those inca indians (x10+/-) from crystal skull movie, german soldiers on motorbikes (x4), indy with Ark (x1), and german desert troops (x20). Will need to focus on the double pack arabs now.

Tomorrow will attack Toys-R-Us specificaly for an 1/18th scale A-10 on clearance. Might get another flight pod with ram b/c I really need to build up my Cobra telecommunications... unless there's new figs to get.

And some build-n-brawls.. for a possible idea -- single pics or dio -- coming soon.

Went to Target and finally found an Airborne, Tripwire with MASS Device element, and a Cobra trooper, a comic pack with Tunnel Rat and Storm Shadow. And got one of those Navy Seal dune buggies. Real rubber tired! Now that's nice.

Someone is definately buying up all the Joes in town. Target had more than 8 Mobat/Crimson HISS packs for $56. Less than a week later all gone. Really doubt a rush of ppl bought them in that time.

Does anyone know what days Targets usually restock their shelves? Or get new shipments? They don't seem to be consistent with the toys.. but recently they've been putting the latest wave out. After months of stagnation. Something had changed.

When the best time to hit the stores? Walmarts here restock the Joes on Thursday mornings every 2 weeks.

Probably not the most exciting capture ever, but i acquired him in a trade recently. I am still looking mainly for GIJOE characters to build up my team, however this guy wanted something from my wants list, and this SAW-Viper was too good to pass up.

Have to agree with Vader though.. he looks excellent with the Marauder Saw.

You got my interest sparked now. I think I shall be looking into Microman some more, and will probably buy some. What I am looking for mostly is something that can be used for customs. So a microman without a lot of spikes and flares would be great. Looking at smalljoes now. Any recommendations? I see some are using.. i guess rare earth magnets to connect limbs.. .. interesting stuff. Again, thanks for the pics.

This site can be hard to navigate. You prolly want Microforce 2003-2007. SmallJoes.com does NOT sell the buck models. But uh, Corey has a bunch at the $5 price point so... And believe me, there are figures I've seen on that Microman site that I'd LOVE to have. I have a couple others that are regular (ie; not magnetic). They are the ultimate in articulation albeit, fragile.

Picked up one of those new Wolverine 3 3/4" figs from TRU. First time I buy an X-men type thing.

Just ordered 3 microman figs. Going to experiment with them. I kinda remember them from way back in the early '80's, or maybe '79. Had one or two back then. Wish I never lost them. I remember a translucent purple body on one, an aqua colored body on another, both with identical chrome heads, white hands/feet that were easily removeable and thus easily lost. But one had a very nice backpack.. two wings would fold out, a fan on each end.. was nice and compact, very sci-fi looking.

Anyway, my Japanese language skills have gone down in the 10 years of not using it. Too bad b/c what I really want are those blank microman figs.. but those seem to be only available on a Japanese site.

Picked up a Resolute 5 pack and a "Cobra Set" 5 pack today at Walmart. I'm not much for saving boxes once they're opened, but the inside art is fairly nice.

Seems Walmart is also selling the new Marvel figures too, but for $8.99 I'll pass and wait for Toys-R-Us to restock.

I finally got my Target Ultimate Battle pack today I won it on e-bay for $24, and just received a complete Mean Dog with Wild Card for $27 from e-bay as well. Saw the new Resolute box set at my Wal-Mart, but passed due to someone had tampered with the box and had taken the B.A.T. accessories.

Latest acquisitions: Comic pack Snake Eyes and Hard Master (x2). A Star Wars Jawa (filthy little things), 4 more Microman (microsister Ran, military force MF4-01 (the one in white), and 2 Gao Gai Gar girls.)

Caution about the Gao Gai Gar girls .. they don't seem to be in proper scale compared to other Microman's. Body is passible, but the heads are too large.. very anime-ish, more than I expected, especially since the Evangelion girls from last week have passible heads for a JoeVerse. The Gao Gai Gar girls are too cartoonish.

This is the 3rd girl of the Microsister series I have and they all seem to be adolescent size girls.

BTW, for anyone who orders a Microman Eriss, the green/white one with the long hair, the long hair part can easily come off.

I was about to get the final M.A.S.S. Device DVD pack at Toy-R-Us this Sunday when I noticed the final piece of the Device was missing. But it didn't look like someone ripped it off.. it was too clean, as if it never came with it.

Anyway, my latest grab has been another Destro/Shockwave comic pack. I want to try making a Kamakura out of that Shockwave and an old comic pack Hawk.

Other than that, it's been pretty slow on the Joe front here. However, my latest shipment of Microman has come in.

For those who are following, the following Microman arrived...
1 x Microman Acroyear Cleve (yellow)
1 x Microman Acroyear X2 - Elsa (red/white with some sort of purple beast/animal)
1 x Microman Magne Force Atlas (the one with the sphere)
1 x Microman MS-04 Micro-Sister Orga (cool detailed head/body sculpt but body armor is difficult to put on. Fragile construction)

Of them all, I do like the Micro-Sister Orga the most because of the detail of the head and body--she has clear plastic covering the exposed cybernetic parts, highlighting what I remember the early descriptions of a Microman from the 80's, that they are cyborgs (thus the chrome heads.) Orga looks battle-damaged.

I got home from work today to find the newly-released Masterpiece Grimlock waiting for me! I took a few very quick and dirty pictures and put them in the "Photos" section for those who are interested in that sort of thing... This is, in my opinion, the best Masterpiece figure of all (and I say that with all due respect to my favorite Autobot, Optimus Prime)!

I was in Houston for work today and had my wife Google toy stores. I wanted to find some old Joes and I hit the jackpot. They had tons of stuff, from all different toy lines. I got a loose airtight (no gear) but they had a complete one, a near mint sonic figher Dialtone (complete, I think), a bomb disposal unit, the fuel tank think from the FLAGG, a clone SCUBA trooper, some Star Wars radar screens, and a really cool Gundam figure. They had a near complete WHALE, but I would have blown all I had to spend on it. It was a hundred dollars even, and I really wanted it. I decided to get several smaller thinks instead of one big think. BTW, they had a complete headquarters, an unopened BUGG, a Dragonfly (150$), Slugger, and bunches of other figures, in the box and out. If you are gonna be in Houston for any reason, you should check the place out. It was called Third Planet. They are going online in the near future, according to the guys there.

Ehh, don't worry Marcos, it ain't going to happen. I haven't been able to get Photoshop CS4 to load properly. I thought it was just Vista, but to be sure I contacted Adobe with the details of the problem only to be told by them that the disc I bought in good faith is a pirated copy. So now I have to go through Paypal to try for a refund from the seller, who has a lot to risk by being exposed as a software pirate - which will get him kicked off eBay at the very least. I'll give him one thing though - he is a professional, the disc looks absolutely real, including the packaging, which was shrink sealed and all.

shrink sealing is easy, alot of stores keep shrinkl-wrap machines within the stores, you can also get it done for fairly cheap at office supply stores.

I bought a video game many years back and after opening it I realized it was a crap game... so I took it to a local Blockbuster Video and asked my friend their to reshrink it, then I returned it to Wal-mart and got my money back. It wasn't damaged, or missused... I kept everything with it, so I didn't see any reason not to return it, but they have a "opened game" policy that they can't return it.

No, Adobe are adamant that it's a bogus copy. The software serial number on the box does not exist. The fact that the seller gave a no-questions-asked refund says a lot too. He obviously doesn't want any fuss made because he knows at the end of the day he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

My thoughts:

The Cobra Diver is a pretty cool figure. The M. Trakker looks good too. But I am really disappointed with the Greatest Battles DVD. I had thought it was maybe various episodes from the classic Sunbow cartoons, since the other DVD's were Sunbow stories: MASS Device, Weather Dominator, etc. Instead this DVD has 4 episodes from somewhere, all computer CGI, of about 10 minutes each except the last one. The figures were another disappointment as they all seem to be the most shoddy of construction and paint. Although Snake Eyes's color scheme of a mud brown/mud black looks good. But with everyone, equipment doesn't seem to fit, and the figures bodies have holes where it's obvious they were designed for other equipment. And no filecards in this set.

Other than that, the divers are pretty good :-)

Well, after a lengthy toy run that bore little fruit (I was sort of tempted by a Chap Mei jeep but was not willing to pay TRU's price for it and some stupid oil barrel bunker), I ended up coming home with two Corps! Attack Fighters, so that I may use them as Firebats. My Cobra air force was very weak, but it's now been decently bolstered.


Of course, by the time I got home, I realized I simply did not have enough pilots to fly them. :eek:

Today I was waken up by a Conquest X-30 landing in my Joe room.

Being May Day yesterday, Cobra Commander here ordered a military parade. There was even a TRU Missile Hauler (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3045233) -- large flatbed truck with some kind of missile. Although Chuckles reports that Cobra is currently looking for an Honest John rocket from the local hobby shop, which has a large collection of rockets.

The Joe team here has gotten some SWAT uniforms, compliments of Shockblast. Photos will probably appear here in a week or so. The Joe team is currently involved in SWAT training, so photos will take a bit to prepare.

Well, today I picked up the True Heroes Navy SEAL boat. With a bit of touching up, my Cobra naval force will have a decent attack ship to use.
