I didn't get a Joe thing and I prolly won't for awhile. Let me start with the background first.

When I was 8 or so, I started playing piano. Played classical stuff till I was about 15. Deciding that piano wasn't considered 'cool', I talked my parents into moving to

BASS. Everyone else was picking up on guitar, I chose bass to be not only different but the fact that with guys starting up bands, there were no bass players. My first bass was a Fender Squire. Bought a (CRAPPY) lil 15 watt amp to go with it. (YOu can find the same bass for about $150 or in package deals (amp, cord, case, picks, bass) usually available at any music store Which really means, my bass isn't worth crap! lol) I got the hang of it pretty quickly, played with the guys at school... But a 15w POS wouldn't work and the drummer who had a ton of gear; I used his. And it never gave a bass sound. Only a distorted sound the whole time.

Eventually, we made the dive and I got a Fender M80 which apparently a LOT of people have never heard of. It was an 80w 1-12" that was good but it couldn't keep up with the guitarist's 200w Crate Full Stack (which incidentally, is a POS. Therefore, Crate is pretty low on my list of companies).

I went thru a few more basses but I never quite liked anything else. My 1st bass was great. Stickers all over, chips in the neck, slight repainting here and there... Sometime in 2000, I sold the amp...

But wait, it's more confusing than that. After getting the bass in 10th grade, I got a classical guitar in 11th. THen a few random free electrics throughout college. Back to the story at hand, I was going thru electric guitars after college, trying to find what I liked. A buddy turned me onto the Line6 (digital) amps and I got a Spyder112.

9 years later... The classical sits in storage. I still play the electric (took years and a lot of dough to find the right guitar).

A couple weeks ago, me and my neighbor went down south to a music store just out of boredom on a weekend. I fiddled around with guitars as did he. Eric wanted to hear my play bass since he knew I had one around and I hooked one up.

OOPS.

The amp I played thru was awesome. A 30w bass amp that sounds good? I had already been scarred that a 15w sounds shallow. Surely a 30w couldn't be MUCH better but dizzzzzzzaaaaaaaam. That 30w sounded as good as my old M80! Now that I got my financial aid check, not only could I get gas and a few groceries, we went down today to pick up the Marshall MB30. I'm rather rusty on my bass playing, but it's coming back.

So if you want, check out what I picked up. It's a very good deal for this type of amp. Bought some more guitar strings as well as a metronome (since mine broke). Now I can bug my neighbor downstairs with my Primus covers and Maiden-oriented riffs and and and... I am on youtube. Find me as Sonneilon6. ;)

I'm new here at Joe Dios but here is what I have scored since I got to FT Benning for Jumpmaster:
1 Wal-Mart Gung-Ho Copper head set, and a Arctic Threat Storm Shadow
At TRU a little wile ago I scored a True Heroes Blackhawk and Chinook (it was buy one get the other 50% off) as well as SGT Stone, Paris Pursuit Arctic Assault and Ninja mercenary Storm Shadow, and a Arctic Assault and Ninja Commando Snake eyes. At AAFES I scored an Agent Helix and a Cover Girl. While I'm here I have a few ideas for some of the training areas around here to in-cooperate for dio backgrounds so I'm going to take some pics and when I get back to Bragg I'll see what happens.

JACK-FRIGGIN-POT!

Ok, yesterday was awesome! I got my pit and spotted a Snarler cycle...today I snagged that and TRU had bench press! Then I go to Big Lots and they have that Chinese Chopper, the Infantry fighting vehicle and the desert base! Kris got a raise so we had an extra $100 in her pay and she told me to go wild! I LOVE this woman!!!

Well I got a small haul this weekend, no Pit Commandos yet, grr, those things are like gold. I did however score a Bench Press, General Hawk, Accelerator Suit Duke, and the Gung Ho/Copperhead two pack. Not bad, I also saw the RHINO at Zeller's of all places, but at $70 whew, very hard on the ol wallet, and thanks to Lord Raven, I have the original anyhow.

Just a few things this week. I've been holding back waiting for TRU to get new stuff.. specifically I'm waiting for ROC Desert Vipers. But all TRU got in was some Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes keychains and the two exclusive 5 packs (desert with dialtone and the other with Duke). So I got that. The next day they were all gone.

Walmart ended up having some Night Creeper / Shockblast and the Gungho / Copperhead two packs. Picked up one of each. The next day they were all gone. I think I like the Night Creeper in this set. And I think I like Copperhead's color scheme. Might buy another set just to paint Copperhead's helmet copper.

Greetings brief mortals!

Just picked up the following:

Mantis Attack Craft

Well worth it. The figure is cool, like the Defence of Cobra Island pack Lamprey, but with a removable helmet. The figure does not have a mask, and has a full set of hair... kinda curly. He looks like he could've been in the plans to be a Joe.

The vehicle is worth it... larger than any of the previous alpha vehicles. Has two missile launchers (for "torpedoes") and four torpedoes. The "wings" of the vehicle expand outwards to reveal the launchers. The ends of the "wings" fold up. The two propellors can be swivelled. The figure fits snuggly in the cockpit, but only without his backpack.

IIRC, Death didn't really get back into GI Joe until either the 25A/MA or the ROC. So he's a bit behind. Tho he's not exactly scrambling for the Bastard Era stuff.

As for me, I got my order from DaveCW2. Some of you might remember that list he posted. Well, the early bird sometimes gets the worm, money allowing. So chalk me up for :

Dave, there's a problem with those 4 figures. Their o-rings seem to have broken and it looks like you fused the tummy and waist together.

ouch! I forgot, since that arrived the week JD went down, and was paid for before the downtime. Yes, some fantastic sets came in from Flatline, and also those 4 lampreys from DaveCW. All the same week that JD went down, and all ordered before the downtime.

I could probably say also though that probably the main reason why I did not purchase any joes during the downtime is that all the stores here, target, tru, walmart, still have the same figures on the pegs. Nothing new.

Gyah. Gigantic haul for me today.

First I picked up two clearanced Terminator figures (John Connor and the T-600 (though I'm thinking of exchanging the latter for another human figure, for fodder's sake) and a Reactive Armor Scarlett at my local Wal-Mart this morning.

And then I visited another Wal-Mart this afternoon after class. And holy crap, they had the first wave of Pursuit of Cobra figures, so I got Jungle Ripcord, Arctic Storm Shadow (trenchcoat, not scarred) and two Desert-Vipers.

Picked up two clearanced Wolverine Origins figures Friday, and today I found the Snarler for less than the price of two figures (which is a good price considering it COMES with two fully-painted, fully-equipped figures).

Rollbar makes no sense, so to me he's the ROC version of Airborne. Beachhead is uber-awesome, shame he'll be replaced some time next year by the even awesomer Pursuit of Cobra Beachhead.

Picked up a Cobra MMS walmart exclusive... I think they are calling it a heatsink or something. Always wanted an MMS. Had an original for a short time. The cord that connects the control console to the system now uses a thread, but I remember the original was a plastic cord. All in all, I need two more for my Cobra's.

My dad sent me a gift card for WalMart, and I snagged a heetseek missile set (my second one!) a LAW and the Monkeywrench/Tunnelrat 2 pack!

I also snagged another Desert Viper, a Torch, Short fuse, and a TRU PTE F-22 Raptor.

I got some stuff off ebay coming; Kris got me a Pimp Daddy with a gold dome! I have Rock-N-Roll, Lady Jaye and Breaker.

And from BBTS, I got Ripper, Flash and Pilot Scarlet!

And Kris just got me 2 Firefly vs. Greenshirt packs for Christmas......

I think my kids got me a mole Pod and another 5 pack of action figures.....

and HOH flint tho he has one of the other Flint heads . so he may not be a HOH but he had the rest of flints gear including that cool Shotgun . but no gold stands on both figures

Finally found the Wal-Mart Battle Stations,I bought 4 MMS & 4 Surveillance Ports,they had the Laser Set also but I passed on it,I wanted the Outpost Defender Set but I couldn't find it.Oh well maybe I'll be able to find it next time,or if someone here can Help me out and find me a couple that would be GREAT :) ..Oh and the Best Part of all,I got these sets for the FANTASTIC Price of $7.49 EACH!!! :D

Got one of them Snarler Cycles (sp?) and painted it cobra blue. Looks way better b/c in my mind there's only one Joe bike and that's the RAM.

Got two ROC neo-vipers from Target. Can't beat the $3 price.

Got a The Corps hovercraft. Will make a decent swamp vehicle for cobra.

Got an ROC Shipwreck... for customs.

I've been buying up 25th accessories loose on ebay. Got a set today that had something WEIRD in it....5 Alley Viper helmets in Brown!!! I wonder if these are prototypes or what? from the Pic on ebay, they were shown from that top and I didn't know what they were, but I got the whole set of accessories cheap, so I didn't care...but now I'm curious!!

Also got the RAM/Flight pod 2 pack, Cobra Gunship (Finally!!) some new guns and the IDS stands from MArauder....

Xamot, Tomax, Alpine (All 25th Versions).

I never felt that to be a Joe bike.. all silver. The RAM, I felt any Joe could use it, take it to the city street, desert, off-road and it'll take you through it all. The silver mirage looked good for city streets, not off-road, not battlefield. Thus the default Joe bike for me has always been the RAM.

I got this guy and scored a couple of Patriot Grizzlies, so my armour guys are going to be well equiped. This thing makes my MOBAT look like a toy. It's full of great detail, but you can't put any figures into it. The Commander's hatch and the loaders hatch both open, but there's no way to stick a figure in there unless you were to remove their legs. Oh, well, I'm still diggin' it. I've got to get another book case, co z I have officially run out of room to display my stuff, and when those Grizzlies arrive, I'll have even less room, near as I can tell, they're about the same size as this M-1A1.

A few days ago, Frank told me about a lil secret place to find $4 25A/MA Joes. TJ MAXX. There's one next to Costco where I go to have my prescriptions filled. So while I waited, I ran into the TJ MAXX and well, Frank was right. I picked up 4 BATs for $4 each.

I also got my box o' goodies from Tyco23. He may have told me what I was getting, but I kept on forgetting. A couple of 25A Vipers, some sort of STormy w/ a jacket (red/white) and one of the versions of the movie Snake Eyes (which I didn't have). AND he hooked meup with a Snarler Cycle!

Went to TRU in Escondido to get a Arctic Doc, and saw they had Star Wars AT-TE's for $49.99. I had a card for 15% off any item, so all total with tax, $46! Whoohooo! That thing is a Behemoth! As a matter of Fact, it reminds me of the Behemoth Bots from Fallout:Tactics!

Also snagged a Walmart Ninja Battle set with Snake Eyes and Storm shadow for $10.

Back from miami! Picked up a Blue snake armor! I also found on the day I came back a prince caspian castle that rocks been looking for that for years! Got some good stuff! Some bat parts from Roland Gunner and a shockwave as well! I also got in a gforce lab set that outrider has shown us in his amazing shots! I warn ya maybe mine was defective but I had to cut some of the plastic for it to fit together kinda like if i got to identical pieces and they left the right one out! maybe thats why it was 15 bucks! cheers dreadnok dread!

I found exactly the same problem DD, duplicated parts and missing parts. Plus the assembly instructions were absolutely useless! :(

A mix haul. The Moray and Scalpel came in a trade with Rich (Urban Saboteur).

Finally a very nice Ducati bike I got for myself for my b-day. And that hawk vehicle, I think it is from the 2000 Heman line... dunno what to do with it but giving it to Raptor. Ha!

Also got a TON of weapons and accessories! OH! Sorry....shoutout to General jones! I got my Steeler from the Target UBP! Now my original 13 are complete!!

I got the Sting Raider/Water Moccasin and it's pretty awesome. it's 20 bucks with two figures. ia also finally got the TRU 3 pack with Sgt.stone, which is a good deal at 15 bucks.
Otto hooked me up with a guy( bad choice of words) who is sending me the 25th Crankcase...I needed him to drive my PTE buggy.

I seen that AT-ST at Wally World fro 34 bucks and the ROC Lazer defense set with Tripwire and Hawk for 7 bucks someone grabbed it right before me they also had the grey SE and SS exclusive set for 11 Target had the past/present set for 13 bucks the Rhinos are going for 25 and the Pit was 49 they also had peg warmers going for 4.98......trying to beat out Walmart I guess. :D

Got a TRU Arctic Doc. This is the best Doc I have! It is the ONLY Doc I have ;-)

Also picked up a TRU Arctic Shipwreck. Now my collection of Polly is complete. Can you say "frogs in winter?" Only thing I don't care about with this Shipwreck is the rifle... it doesn't have a strap. Can you imagine marching through snow with one hand holding a pike, and the other hand carrying a rifle, and on your shoulder is a frozen parrot? A tropical bird in the arctic....

HOLY FRAK! I just picked up a BMF off of Craigslist for like...nothing. I missed the Target clearance on these and have wanted one for 2 years now. This thing is fabulous, I have been playing around with it all night. Just ordered a new set of decals and a set of missiles for her off Hasbro parts. Will do a little custom magic to her if I ever get the time. I know it is Star Wars and not Joe, but I highly recommend it, tons of play power! :D

A few days ago I ordered the Desert Zartan and RipCord from the Pursuit of Cobra off ebay from a guy in China.

Yesterday I went out on my weekly Joe Hunt. Nothing new out there. I did, however manage to get a Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes, Desert Viper, Scarlett in BDU's, Cover Girl and another PIT Commando all for under $5 a piece. (Cover Girl was $2.48 at Target!) And I got the CG 5 pack from TRU. I was kinda bummed because I was hoping to run into a Red ninja 5 pack, Kamakura or NanoViper, but no love!

I came home and found an IM on facebook, my neice sent me a nano viper and Mole Pod (She got my name in the Christmas Exchange and is running a little behind because of her financial situation!) That made me happy! Then I hit the jackpot, I found a lot of 6 figures on Ebay for $24.99 (FREE SHIPPING!) that had a 100% complete Kamakura! It Also has a 25th ShipWreck (Which I was looking for!) Then the guy had a second set of figures for the same price that has Crankcase and 5 others, including the Shipwreck from the comic pack and Steeler from the UBP! Crankcase and Kamakura alone will cost you $50 if you get them off eBay! So I scooped them up! Now I'm happy!

Ebay is cool! I just got my black SNAKE armor, a 25A alley viper, strato-viper, range viper and lamprey from the Cobra Island pack, all for less than 30 bucks. I also got the McQuarrie concept Boba Fett, which is super sweet, for about 10 bucks.

I saw a flight pod/ram and a sharc at tj maxx tonight, bought the flight pod pack. Saw 4 bazooka troopers and 2 tf dukes at another tj maxx, bought 2 troopers and a duke. Saw two roc cover girls at target for 2.98, bought one of them.

No TJ Maxx here, and the Marshalls just doesn't sell Joes. Good find at Target for the Covergirls. They just have Baroness, Destro, and Neo-Vipers and some Storm Shadows at the Target here.

Big Lots! Woot!

I haven't been buying much since the lull in the Joes at the stores. Over the last month or so I've scored a lot of repeats and some new things. Got multiples of what most ppl here have.. ROC Destro and Baroness, mostly for my diostory which I am still in the design stage of -- customs for it.

But I did manage to buy two Iron Mongers, all four of the Prince of Persia figures, and a few micromen and things for customs. SmallJoes is great for that.

It's getting to a point that I'll start posting about my own customs as new booty.

I picked up 14 RoC Neo-Vipers at $.88 each... they aren't my favorite, but I couldn't pass the deal.

Target... they were being marked down as I picked them up. I tried other Targets, but so far no one else has any left.

eBay sent me a MOC RoC Kamakura for trading and a Resolute Baroness (read the review, tell your friends!)

Got 25th Bazooka and comic pack Falcon (yeah, gotta do something with that head) from a seller on YoJoe's for sale forum.

Gunny Ender sent me Blowtorch, a Resolute Trooper and 25th Baroness as well as few heavy weapons.

Dan Contrino sent me Baroness from the good five pack, DVD pack Alpine, comic pack Beach Head and a Scarlett for fodder.
But of course I had to deal with this bit of smartassery:

Yesterday I went to a old video game store that sells comics,alot of video games,trading cards,and some posters....and to my suprise.......there were two 25th GI joes in the far back. 1 Duke, and 1 v1 storm shadow. I got both.

funny story about tiger force! never cared alot for em they looked cool but didnt want to bother finding them or bidding on em! but everything little by little turned up at to spots i go to that are clients! how can i say no with really good prices and bad color themes! lol enjoy!
